Do you guys know anyone who has built a lightweight version of one of these? I live in OZ and we have hundreds of miles of disused railway around here, I heard there's a guy who has a sheet of ply and four wheels with guides on it and a little pup pup bike engine and he goes around on one.
You don't want to make it too lightweight as it can risk coming off on bumpy track. A heavier trolley is harder to get up to speed but easy to keep it going once you get there.
The film isn't edited in any way, although it does seem a little (not much) faster than when vid is viewed on my pc. Maybe a slight problem with the YouTube video converters.

We put a GPS tracker on one run - average speed was around 14mph I think - hill was much steeper coming back though!
