I LOOOVE this movie such a warm hearted story and fun adventure with misfit outcast kids who all find happiness in each other and what they stand for. ^_^
After Troy shouts,"Andy! You GOONIE!" He was supposed to storm over to his car to leave, but then the sheriff drives up and asks if he's seen 7 missing kids(the goonies). Troy lies and says "No."
Back in the well, Mikey then has Andy take the Goonie oath. He has her raise her right hand and repeat what he says. Just as they finish, they all realize that they're covered with LEECHES! Data manages to get the leeches off them using an electrical device, though it LITERALLY gives them a shock! :D
@pytko3 Thanx for these informations about the extended version of that scene ! I've never seen it, do you know by chance where I could find a video of this extension ?
@0Evidemment0 Well, I don't know where it would be found. I was surprised when it wasn't on the deleted scenes feature of the dvd. In 2003, I read about it and saw a picture of Mikey and Andy standing in the pond together as Andy takes the oath. The way how the deleted scenes go is in the original script of The Goonies. I also saw a picture of Data on the ship and his coat is super inflated. There was also a longer version of him trying to fight of the Fratellis and tried to make himself bulky.
@pytko3 seriously?! thats crazy, my DVD is poop, they dont have the scene when Troy and his friends come in that store and like mess with the Goonies and, the DVD doesnt even have the octopus scene, which doesnt make any sense at the end when you hear them tell the reporter at the end about it
There was an extension of this. After the inhaler, he explains that a few years ago, his parents were on the gameshow,"Let's Make A Deal" and got to choose 1 of 3 doors, his dad's lucky number is 2 but he chose 3 and ended up with a large jar of toothpicks and blew their big chance. He says on Monday, the town becomes a golf course and if the treasure is later found by someone else like Troy, they'd feel like real jerks knowing that they could've saved their homes and they blew THEIR big chance.
