Her wind swept hair flowed like the cool mountain stream,The soft touch of her eyes ,we knew that it was the time to fall in love, I held her , I could feel her heart on my chest...and her lips, full of butterflies wings...
The following morning.....Eberhard´s most touching album (rec. 1976) Thanks to producer Manfred Eicher who refreshed the Jazz scene so deeply (ECM label)
This is one the most lovely, rich and great pieces I know. I know it from my early years and now 35 years after, it is still one of my favorites. Try also Drifting Petals from Ralph Towner, Eberhard Weber etc on Solstice (another ECM CD). Also Later that Evening by Weber is a fantastic piece, but still this "T on a white horse" is for the ultimate.
I'm still trying to adjust to the fact that in over 30 years this music is still as fresh and innovative today, as it was then. Amazing! Anyone still have "Fluid Rustle"?
This is a part of his "the following morning" album from 1976. This video must be a recording some time later...Eberhard belongs to the most sensitive musicians ever and he´s also a nice and polite guy..He often can be heart together with piano player Rainer Brüninghaus, who counts to the same calibre! .I don´t know if he has recovered from his stroke 2 years ago ?? I hope so!
Eberhard Weber is awesome. This piece is entitled "T On A White Horse" from his "The Following Morning" CD and is one of my all-time favorites of his. Eberhard suffered a stroke recently and I'm wondering how his recovery is coming along? I hope he will be performing again soon because he's a truly gifted musician who has created some fine compositions.
No Prob,ALBEEF.. for a real treat, try out Weber's latest opus'-STAGES OF A LONG JOURNEY-
an overview of his catalog, recorded live with a Full Orchestra,Gary Burton & Jan Garbarek- really great.Sadly, it's the last thing Weber did, and suffered a stroke perhaps
6-8 months ago(?)Anyone hear anything about how he is doing?

That big horn looks to be a Euphonium. i really love this piece. Is this Jazz? Or is this Art music? I am not crazy about Jazz but I love this.

Anyone have anything from Weber's YELLOW FIELDS album?

I like the piano/flugelhorn arrangement here, a nice contrast to the electric piano(?) on the studio version. IMO, one of his most emotional numbers.

Thanks here, too. This is the first Eberhard Weber piece I heard and it still grabs me as one of his best.

Great to see this. One of my favorite EW pieces. A nice version but I miss those cellos though...
Blessings on Mr Weber. May he recover and get out there playing again. I need to hear the man in his glory again!

MR. BEEF..One other cd you might like, if you
lean towards this dreamy stuff..is FLUID RUSTLE by Weber..pretty nice chill-out album..Weber, Gary Burton, Bill Frisell,
2 women singers who overdub their voices in
a remarkable way.. really stunning stuff.

This is on the THE FOLLOWING MORNING.. imho,
one of the greatest albums ever by a bassist..
simply stunning! Weber on electric & Acoustic basses; Rainer Bruninghaus on Keys, plus a Chamber Orchestra.I think it's only available
as a European Import, tho- but definitely worth seeking out!
