I saw these again a month ago, they're lanterns and this time they were released by someone at the Haycock (or nearby) as part of a wedding celebration. At one point there were 10+ in the sky and it was an amazing sight but I'd guessed they were lanterns before it appeared in the Evening Telegraph a few days later.

Yes, the actual "ufo" is visible for about half a second, and as this is time lapse footage, probably did the manouevre in about 20-30 seconds real time. Don't blink at 14 seconds into the movie, or you'll miss it!
