Man i wouldn't give up my supernovas for anything, hvlp aint all that bad once ur used to it, but anyway not to be an ass, them hvlps require air regulators, sata is around 21-27 psi inlet pressure, that puts around 8-12 psi @ the cap, like i said not to be a smartass, just something to play with.
@banditboycycles Your absolutly right. If you look real close there is a regulator on the end of the gun where the air hose hooks up, I just don't use one with a gause. Thanks for the input and letting others know. Pete
i was always taught...it's not that pros dont make mistakes...they just know how to fix their mistakes!! i love watchin you work pete! after workin in the shop all day i like to watch you work...im happy to know im not the only one gettin fucked in the ass in the bodyshop industry!!
Thanks for showing how to fix mistakes. Most pros out there won't step up and admit the f-up once in awhile. Most of us novice guys need to know more about fixing mistakes than dealing with "normal" operations the pros are used to.
lol. I like the Kentucky paint gun lid.. Let me guess. you left the paint gun cap in thinner and it got big and it wouldnt fit the paint gun?? SATA is the best. ps why did yu even buy it if you dont like a gravity gun?Let me know if you want to sell it i will buy it. Only thing i dont like about that gun is it says Foose on it.HAHAHAHAH!!!! no for real.
thats the problem with custom jobs, if the ground coat is an active part of the colour and the base is semi / trasparant do overs need to be blended in much more presicly than regular base that you reach opacity then drop coat
its something i think about alot befor i decide on a custom mix, how hard will it be to repair later or during the application
some effects look 100 times better when layerd and use of trasparencies but can be a nightmare if a stage goes wrong, repair can be an arse
If your waiting between coats, no worrys, if your waiting for long periods of time, you should clean your gun out and then use it again. Don't leave paint in your gun over night it will ruin it, but for short periods of time, like up to 45 minutes / hour it shouldn't hurt anything. Good luck on your first airbrush job. Pete
As I watch, I'm learning lots of things I have done were right, some needed improvement, andsome I will have to completely change.
What do you do with your paint gun between coats? I realize the paint in the can is OK, but what about the paint in and around the tip? Is it different for syphon versus gravity feed guns?
Thanks Pete!
By the way I'm just days away from airbrushing my first guitar.
