I personally won't disapprove of having this as our national anthem. Either this or the other one, they both share the same message of FREEDOM and UNITY. Ethnic rivalry should not separate us. The Afghan youth should not repeat the mistakes of our forefathers and the generation before us. We should not label one another according to our ethnic identity, we are AFGHANS.

For real history read: 'Tarikh e Ahmad Shahi' - written in the court of A.S.Durrani. He never ever claimed to be the ruler of an Afghanistan. This book was banned by Afg tribal government.
Khurasan was not an Arab given label - it was the name of the land long before - as a division of the Persian empire. Arabs just used that word aswell. Read real history - not Afg government version.

But one thing I disagree with, n that´s that how come Ahmad shah masoud is the father n the biggest hero of Afghanistan. A national hero is, who have being figthing for the entire country, not a region. but also who have fougth for every etnicity n not for his own people. The name Afghanistan was promised to our Pashtun leaders by the British in 1894 when they took over Peshawar from us, they then asked our Pashtun leader to sign a treaty that will give Peshawar to British Indian for 100 years in exchange they would change the name from Khurasn or Kabulistan to Awghanistan/Afghanistan. just look at some old maps and u will see that until 1930 it was still Khurasan and Kabulistan
250 years ago, ahmad shah baba ruled that country what we know nowadays as afghanistan. 150 years ago the rules of afghanistan were the mohammadzai, pashtuns. before the mohammadzai the durranis ruled the country. and before that the ruler of khorasan etc. was nadir-e afshar. while his reign, mir wais hottak made his ppl independet and ruled greater kandahar. nadir-e afshar, a wild and cruel guy was not killed by pashtuns. his own persian soldiers killed him.
after that they wanted to rape all women of him. the only person who was against this was ahmad khan, one of his commanders. later, he became the first emir of afghanistan, that was in the 18th century, more than 200y ago. before u r spreading false facts, please inform urself. u write like pashtuns never had been rulers. bahlohl khan lodi was the first pashtun sultan of delhi in the 16th century. sher shah suri was one of the greatest kings of central asia.

Dear freinds, why trash each other with etnicity. I am pashton n proud of it, but I am as well proud of my fellow tajik, usbeks n hazara brothers n sisters. But one thing I disagree with, n that´s that how come Ahmad shah masoud is the father n the biggest hero of Afghanistan. A national hero is, who have being figthing for the entire country, not a region. but also who have fougth for every etnicity n not for his own people. I would agree that his is a hero of Panshir but not a hero of country.

The first part of the name, "Afghan", is, at least since the 16th century AD, the Persian alternative name for the Pashtuns who are the founders and the largest ethnic group of the country.

Only Pashtuns can call themselves true Afghans. Tajiks belong in TAJIKISTAN.
There have only been 2 Non-Pashtun kings/presidents in Afghanistan:
Kalakani and Rabbani. Together they were in power for only 11 months.
This shows that Pashtuns are real Afghans. PASHTUNS ARE SUPERIOR.

The country named Afghanistan came into being 150 years ago.
Before that for ages this region was rule by non-pashtuns. Tajiks (Samanids, Saffarids, Tahiris, Ghori, Yaftali. ..Ghaznawi (Turko-Persian)etc...)
Rabbani Ruled for 4 years in Kabul and 5 years despite not being in Kabul was the official president of Afghanistan recognized by UN and all the countries of the world except Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. So that adds up to 9 years total.

Pashtuns have always lived there, but they let others rule. In around 1600 they decided to rule.
Never have they been slaves.

The name Afghanistan was promised to our Pashtun leaders by the British in 1894 when they took over Peshawar from us, they then asked our Pashtun leader to sign a treaty that will give Peshawar to British Indian for 100 years in exchange they would change the name from Khurasn or Kabulistan to Awghanistan/Afghanistan. just look at some old maps and u will see that until 1930 it was still Khurasan and Kabulistan

250 years ago, ahmad shah baba ruled that country what we know nowadays as afghanistan. 150 years ago the rules of afghanistan were the mohammadzai, pashtuns. before the mohammadzai the durranis ruled the country. and before that the ruler of khorasan etc. was nadir-e afshar. while his reign, mir wais hottak made his ppl independet and ruled greater kandahar. nadir-e afshar, a wild and cruel guy was not killed by pashtuns. his own persian soldiers killed him.
