  • That Jaguar is hypnotized by that grey rock.

  • that is soo cool man

  • @DogWarrior327 @x 300W heaters. It gets down to 0 degrees celcius at times in winter here but the thick timber/fibreglass sides on this tank retain the heat very well. In fact, it takes less to heat than the 180g all glass tank I had out there did.

  • Man, im impressed, only ancient fish! Sweet tank!

  • my dream tank

  • Very nice.

  • 0:44 what kind of fish is that?

  • @Ricine Amphilophus trimaculatus.

  • hey dude, did u paint the back black?

  • @Adiz100 It is just a color pigment that I added to the epoxy resin when I built the tank.

  • @greenterra by any chance is this that DIY 800+ gallon tank that was made with the liquid rubber stuff? and great tank man, just wondering.. if you were to stick your finger in the tank and the jaguar was to bite it how much damage would he make (haha im more just asking on a scale from 1-10 how dangerous is his bite?) 1 being goldfish and 10 being a piranha. thanks haha

  • @jarederajarederaj No liquid rubber. I have seen too many failures with that product for my liking. My build is marine quality epoxy resin and fibreglass. See my "800+ gallon plywood and fiberglass aquarium build. From start to finish." vid. It also has a link in the description for the documented build. As to the mannys bite, They have enough teeth to inflict damage but they wouldn't shred you to bits.

  • Mate I watch your vid's again and again lol just can't get over how big your cichlids are and what an awesome tank u have!!! Thumbs up to you man for your efforts! I've got a Red Devil, Green Terror, Jack Dempsey, Firemouth, Oscar and Convict cichlid in a 200 gallon atm though I'm looking at getting a 600 gallon for them soon as they are growing quick. 800 gallons would be just sick though and I would love 2 get a tank this big for my fish though haven't got the room. Hope they do ok in a 600gal

  • Nice tank ! Beautiful fish.

  • There is no major issue in your tank with territories?

  • Beautiful tank where did you get one that large

  • @cooperjones843 I built it. You can see more in one of my other vids.

  • Amazing!

  • u should put some lobsters in it !

  • The measures your aquarium?

  • @sk8blues 9' x 4' x 3.4'

  • incredible tank!!!

  • The green terror is looking pale and unhappy, he's no match for anyone in there having lost his territory to the Texas. Thankfully that jaguar is in there, he keeps the peace or those devils would take over.

  • what the size of this monster jag?

    5*

  • @nicolasps3 In the latest vid, he is closer to 16"

  • jeez i love your tanks. you should check out mine although they are nothing compared to yours

  • love how you made this dramatic atmosphere(heh, can i use that term for under water?...lol), fish highlighted, background looks in a distant, perfect..

  • @apauln Thanks, I have tried to set it up so the emphasis is on the fish and not the tank. I feel I have achieved this in my latest vid.

  • Dream tank!! That's a big ass jag! Can't wait to see the festae in another yr or 2!

  • @fishluvr12 Thanks fishluvr.

  • awsm tank there n love the fishes

  • Nice finish, black was the right choice, sets everything off very nicely.

  • why no substrate?

  • @Swiftt5389 It is a lot easier to keep clean without substrate.

  • what kind of fish is that on 206-211?i dont think i have ever seen one before...

  • Herichthys pearsei.

  • what kind of fish is that on 206-211?i dont think i ever seen one before.

  • one of the best cichlid tanks on youtube, awesome collection of fish.

  • Sup My MAn Ehh what fish is it at 0:51-0:53 Please

  • That is a male festae

  • really nice midas and jag!

Is there an umbee in this vid as well?

  • Thanks Tom.Yes there is an umbee but still at the grow out stage. You will see him at .41 and at 3.10 towards the top.

  • lol he does look quite tough.. what size is he?

  • Hows the carpintis going with the rd has it settled the dispute?

  • haha..Not yet. He is now 3rd in charge in the tank.

  • the fish i didnt recognise can be seen at 1.56 on the right of the tank above your red devil

  • OK. That's a male Herichthys bocourti.

  • i forgot to ask what type of lighting you are using, shows their natural colours very well

  • There are 3 x 40W 18000k Powerglo 48"bulbs towards the front and a couple of standard 48"cool white sticks in the center.

  • that tank looks awsome. great choice of fish and they all look very healthy. i was wondering what type of fish is swimming behind the green terror at 4.02 . thanks for sharing

  • Thanks. Not sure where you mean? The vid ends at 4.02

  • yeah i saw it chase them a bit on the vid, that's funny bcos i've heard people i know saying their texas don't get on with their devils, maybe it's a species thing, i take it your rd/midas are quite peaceful bcos of the size of tank

  • I love your fish. All look to be extermely healthy and very happy. 5/5. Im sure you don't have problems with them fighting because of the tank but do they ever?

  • Thanks. The only one that causes any drama is the carpintis. For some reason he hates both the rd/midas.

  • your tank is one of my favourites on youtube and every one of your cichlids are prime examples of their species, how is your gold saum coping with those bruisers? p.s. your jag looks very chilled out and peaceful looking

  • Thanks. The saum is doing fine. The carpintis has a disliking to both rd/midas though. Hopefully they get past it or the carpintis is coming out.
