I hear you on the fear thing and asking the pastor for permission.
I am a sensitive. I was raised in a strict fundamentalist household and was told my "gift" was evil and from the devil. I ignored my "gift" for awhile and it did tone it down a bit.
Now, I am trying to get it back to where it was before I was told it evil. I still struggle with the whole "is it evil" thing. I know it's not but sometimes the "it's evil" thing creeps back in my mind.

Old people in the south called legba the devil, so I do too, thats who robert johnson met at the crossroads, in palo they call him lucero. He is the shatain in the true sence of the hebrew bible, one who can come aginst one on behest of god, or aginst ones enemy's, he is the king over the earth plane, and does gods will, he is also a tempter, to see if one is for real, he serves gods purposes, like a prosecuting attorney, for the state, but if your nose is clean you have nothing to worry about.
