Actually the term I use is "anti-assault rifle" which pretty well defines any semi auto magazine fed rifle owned by a law abiding (when they are just anyway) god fearing American Citizen! Shoot three times if yah like freedom! ;)

PS- my wife has the same rifle...refinished it with birchwood casey kit staining it a dark walnut color and 14 coats of truoil later it's really pretty! (took 5 coats before the porous wood started leveling out!) para model is hard to beat for a lady along w/ the new

Always shoot for the head of a Zombie. If a head crab from Half Life, always use a crowbar. Good training especially when hitting one flying in the air. The family that trains together sticks together. Happy holidays and may the Easter bunny not be afraid to deliver to your little one.

@jaysonvilett you could modify it to fire full auto, it is an AR-15 by any means. Many Colt AR-15's dont have a full auto mode, thats because they dont like the public to have that shit, but they can be modded out to fire auto.

I hate to be a stickler here, but what you saw at Knob Creek were assault rifles (among many other things most likely). What you are using are not... if you are looking for a term maybe a better one would be civilian battle rifle. Don't buy into the Opposition Media and their term of "assualt rifle". It isn't one unless it has the ability to shoot more than one round with the pull of the trigger. Simply b/c they look similiar doesn't mean anything. BTW, is that an SKS Model D?

Just because they aren't full auto dosen't mean that they aren't AR's. They were main battle rifles for different armies meaning they are assault rifles designed to kill people. @swordsmen76 - Must disagree. SKS isn't select fire. M14 & M1 are not intermediate cartridges. US defines assualt rifle as select-fire firearm w/ intermediate cartridge. If we were to stoop to the level of Wikipedia for a reliable info source, they have even a larger set of quals for what defines an assault rifle, including needing a detachable box mag. Regardless, it seems the reality is that despite what the uninformed masses would have us think, an AR or SKS isn't an assault rifle.
