2: it technically didn't fail.. the brakes came loose before the car went through, and the 5th car passing through loosened it completely. The brake pad hit the edge of the car, derailing it on one side.

What we really need is an Invert coaster which is one where the track is above you not below or at least another coaster that goes upside down. A legit looping one not something like Steel Venom.
People, quit coming up with these crazy ideas. Valleyfair is a a very safe park, and Wild Thing is a very safe ride.

Okay you are wrong I watched this on the news the went up to the tip top of the 200 ft drop and the cars got stuck The last car tipped over and about three people fell out they were all hurt and one man got SERIOUSLY hurt.
why do people make such a big deal about this? the back car disconnected from the rest of the train and tipped to the side a bit. its not like the car actually "flew off" the track and nobody "smashed their head into a power box". you are 1000 times more likely to die on a bicycle than on a rollercoaster.
its tipped forward because they share axles with the cars in front of them. its not like leaning or anything like that. it's like how a semi trailer doesn't have it's own set of front wheels so it needs the semi to be level

the reason why the steel venom breaks down so often is because of 2 reasons 1: the form of it and the speeds, witch leads me to reason 2: they need all of the safty gear working properly and because of the high speeds the safty mechanism breaks down alot

If you don't believe me that is your call, but I will say this I still go on Wild Thing and the probability of you getting injured on a ride is much less than when you are driving to the park itself.
Yes every part of the ride is checked. All of the roller coasters must have the inspection happen from the chain lift to the breaks to the individual cars themselves. That goes for all of the rides as well.
