At the time, Ed Lover and I were in a band together. He knew the son of the video's director, Jonathan Demme, and we were invited out to the show. All cool very people. We hung out with UB40 after the taping. Not to sound jealous of Ed, but it's ironic that the least musically talented member of the band made it the biggest.

I had to add this because I'm in it! At 1:31 the guys dancing are are myself and guys from the band I was in at the time. The black guy in red is Mark Skeete, the drummer. I''m next to him with the shades, white shirt and skinny tie, (1985!). The guy with no shirt on is Gerald Benton, sax player and the late, great Brook Benton's son. This was done at Jones Beach Theater. Long before my dreadlocks. Forgot what I looked liked back then. Haven't seen this in over 20 years. Thanks for it!
