The reporter was trying to get a free sponsorship for some product or business from LD that they then try to make money off of. I'd do the same thing if I was a public figure. Ask me questions about my work not which toothpaste brand I use.

The questioner is simply doing his job. And his job is to ask self-centered celebrities silly questions. And if celebrities don't want to be asked these silly questions then they shouldn't make themselves available to the "silly press."
