Well finally a clip of someone cutting through some real tough hard snow. Oh look it's a Toro too! I posted one of my Toro cutting down a frozen snow pile and get comments of how a "Tracked" machine would purr right through it but can find no clips of any one doing so. I hope my nearly new Toro works as good as yours when it is as old. Nice clip.
I have one just like this. My dad bought it in 1977. It was his favorite toy. When he passed I took it home , repainted it, rebuilt the carb, and put new tires on it. i still use it to this day. Heavy steel sturdy machine. Looks and runs like new. Not built cheap like the new machines. Also 2 yrs. ago the main blower bearing needed replaced. I went to my local toro dealer and he had the part on the shelf ! Over 30 yrs. old and parts in stock, try that with off brand equipment.
I love my toro. It's the same but a 5-24 instead of your 7-24. Boy does that 2 hp make a difference~! I'm probably going to re power it with a more powerful engine.
Gotta' love the shifting pattern and lock-on blower lever. The toro's ergos are second only to maybe ariens.
Seems like Toro builds a nice snowblower, I hope my new Snapper lasts a long time, but there's no throttle or carb adjustments on the carburetor. Damn EPA cracked down on small engine emissions! The only way to adjust my carb is to re-jet it! That Toro has nice power!
man i have the exact same one I ended up grandfathering it but even thought its old and i spent around 200 bucks this year top get it up and in full running condition it will even beat any 2 stage blower built today. i dont care what they say toro made the best blowers out there and they still do
From 0:49 to 0:59, it isn't a Toro but someting else... :-(

find a gilson/mongomery ward/ford snowblower from the late 60's to the early 80's, they're all tanks, but i'd start out with one in good condition

Im sorta glad we've not had much more snow this year. The snow I can hope with, but -13C weather stops me from doing anything.
