Dude, Apple never replace a new one for AppleCare replacement. Thats why all replacement phones dont have retail box and no imei# engraved on the sim tray.
Well, the home button feels its getting deep and not responsive. It does not bother me a lot but sometimes. My phone is canadian version, factory unlocked. I flew to Vancouver to pick it up when launched in CA.
Went to Apple store yesterday and they said they will replace a refurbished one. I still got 30 days warranty on my orig iphone4

from what the apple rep told me, the replacement phones are essentially new. new casing, battery, ppretty much the majority of parts are new. as long as it looks new and works like new, im happy with it lol
ran, i have home button issue and i am considering to get the repalcement. so, when you get the replacement, how does that home button feel compare to your orig iphone4? and any cosmetics defect on the replacement?
@roger77498 honestly, it seems like all iphones have there own unique home button feel. for the replacement, i still get that nice tactile feedback, and its still nice and flush with the display, so id say its all good.
apple may atempt to fix ur home button or they may replace it, its there call, but if it bothers u, give them a call and see what the can do. if nothing eles is wrong with ur phone, u may just want to keep it lol
@scarylittleboy i had 2 replcement iphone 4s and thetstarted with an 87. so im not sure anymore. honestly it really doesnt matter. they look new and perform like new so just enjoy it! lol
my iphone 4 had a problem which is the volume up rocker doesn't have any push feel to it but it still works.so i took it to the Apple store to get it check out and they replaced it with a iphone 4 that i am not sure if it's fully brand new or refurbished.they took it out of a black box in their cupboard and after checking my broken one out they put my old one in the black box.all i need to know if it's brand new.

@27131king yeah the outsides are new, the battery and logic boards are new, and some internals are of course recycled
