I started watching Clannad at first. I don't think i stopped watching after that. In just a few days i finished clannad and the after story. it was truely sad, it was very realistic, and it was awesome. i cried a little but the whole time I just wanted to see more. This anime made me think,about how Ushio felt with no mother.Only pictures and Dangos explained Nagisa's personality(and smell!).But of course,Tomoya told Ushio stories about her mom.Such as the time she helped Fuko hand out starfishes and create the wedding,or how they first met each other (Nagisa and Tomoya).Nagisa,Tomoya and Ushio make such a nice family. ^w^

Let's face it: The first season had less that satisfactory filler, the voice acting is poor in both languages and there were some unbearable characters. And yet, after seeing movies like grave of the fireflies and 5 cm per second, this is the only piece of movie or anime that has ever gotten me to cry. The two deaths were just too beautiful and horrifically tragic. Despite everything, this anime will stand out in my mind for years to come.

And Ushio wants to go on the trip that Tomoya took her on....they don't even make it too far up the street before Ushio dies in Tomoya arms and he gives up right there in the snow he died as well...BUT there is more. But you should watch the anime. Although you can find the happy ending right here on YouTube. But yeah like I said I do not think ANY anime will ever touch me like this one did. You get to know and care for the characters feel for them see them graduate from High school (well except Nagisa) And we get to see them as a married couple then she get s pregnant....we FINALLY get to see them as a family...but...Nagisa dies leaving Tomoya with Ushio...then when he takes care of his daughter and after Tomoya finally comes to terms with his father, and realizes he is not a bad father...Ushio become ill she has her moms illness..

This anime Is a good example of wanting to be thankful for what you have in life. Whether you lost someone or something, just be grateful that you even have people there with you through the way. Like in Tomoya's case he lost his most beloved person and he did pretty much the same as his dad, but then he became thankful that he still had his daughter. And in the end wakes up and is more thankful than ever because now he has experienced the lost and can now do everything better.
