  • Keeping those samples under wraps man, hell yeah.

  • can this thing make anything besides shit rap?

  • "retains same sample on all the pads" you mean it takes, say, a 5 second sample and would split it up like .05 a pad if there is 10 pads? 1sec a pad if there is 5 pads? basically like that? if i have 3 different samples from 3 different sources, will change the bpm of each so that they are in sync? can you control that?

  • @lloplop Not really...

What it means is if you edit the start/end of the same sample on different pads it doesn't create a new sample for each pad. There are specified functions to copy (create a new file) and divide (which also creates a new file) of a sample. For my purposes I don't use those functions though.

  • Wanted to clarify...

The beats featured in the video were made using a combination of hardware/software.

    Ableton Live

    Sp808ex

    Mpc1000

    ProTools

    Reason

    Logic Pro

  • Can you tell me any differences between the 808 and the 808ex? Thanks Beatsmith!!

  • @Cr125rmxr

basic differences... 250 mb zip drive (which is archaic at this point. I'm thinking of changing it out for a compact flash drive). It also has more effects. That's pretty much it! There's alot more detailed info on the web.

  • @beatsmith Right on, thx for answering! You've got a nice mix of the new and old gear for this beat! I like seeing people use hardware along with DAW's. I'm running Live and a Yamaha RS7000, my own little mix of older and newer stuff!

  • No prob. Is your question about the 808 or the asr?

  • hey bro I like the beats. Ive had an 808 ex for a while my value knob is messed up. i have an asr10 r and eps. I would love to get in touch with you because i dont know how to use this well... like making different beats to match. soundcloud

  • @apresmidi505 have you tried restoring back to factory settings or is the knob screwed physically?
