I wouldn't say Social Ecology has nothing to do with environmentalism. Depending on what your definition of environmentalism is. I've been taken courses in the School of Social Ecology for 3 years now and understand it to be about social aspects of the world which effect our environment. Goals differ between each sub discipline within social ecology such as criminology, public policy, urban planning, earth system sciences, public health, psychology and social behavior.
1) israel is in the middle east though granted it is to the north east of africa...then again so it Russia
2) social ecology has nothing to do with environmentalism which is what Green Peace peddles...go read Murray Bookchin
3) as a president, and therefore part of a hierarchy, you immediatly undermine social ecology as a philosophy.
