Doc, nothing wrong when someone doesn't have a social smile. I don't, never did, and I'm doing fine. Social interaction bores me. Most of it is phoney. Rather than looking at autism from a deficit model (which is why so many parents go running to "alternative medicine"), one needs to look it as differently abled, albeit with societal obstacles.
