really, why are you even there if its so dangerous. I work with NH3 regularly, and the amount of PPE your expecting them to wear is unsubstantiated. If you arent level A HAZMAT trained, then get away from the NH3 and let someone qualified decide. I dont believe i've seen 100 LBS of liquid hit the ground anyways. If the wind direction is as it actually appears from the vapor, then it could verywell be less than 25ppm where he is standing. I agree he's not safe. Then again.. neither are you.
there is a 800 number that you can call to talk to CHS in St Paul MN and discuss the working conditions. there is even a anonymous 800 help line you can call. That would probably be a more constructive way to spend your time rather then using youtube. It is really sad that with all the technology around us this is how it is used. I work with propane and I know the second that you don't respect it, it can injure or kill you and those around you.
If there is a issue and the local management wont resolve it I can and will go to the top of the food chain. AND THAT'S NOT YOUTUBE
There are way to handle this IF the proper people are notified.
and also you could remove these videos also I am sure that the issues have been resolved. YOUR OUTSTANDING footage is not showing any thing useful. I could understand if you where explaining something but you stated your self that you have never been trained in dealing with this .
I would like to read what PPE is required and when, where have you found the regulations for PPE?
You wrote about rental propane tanks used for transporting anhydrous ammonia. I haven't heard about that, good tip. Where did you hear about the rental tanks being returned after transporting anhydrous ammonia. I would have thought the people who fill the tank would have an interest in ensuring the safety of the tanks.
All you have to do is go to the OASHA web page to find proper ppe requirements for this chemical. all msds sheet should have this as well. this item on the returned propane tanks is from a pass around email on a report sent via the Government grapevine.
Hey rocket scientist, Please quote the regs stating no ppe is required, if you can well my bad but I know for a fact you are wrong. But in the sporting fashion I give you this chance, so as they say, PUT UP OR SHUT UP!!!!!!
Nh3 does't poison the air, the worker in this video is purging nh3 properly. Leaks as shown in your other videos happen everyday all over the nation, and they get fixed. Breathing nh3 won't kill you, otherwise we'd have dead farmers everywhere. If your eyes burn, move to fresh air (duh). You don't have to put on PPEs to stop every leak, nor purge a hose. Nh3 dripping on the ground is no big deal, its main use is fertilizer you dip. Grow up and stop acting like a Michael Moore wannabe.
ppe is for pussys
