I had one of these 1979 with ace bars - good bits were the torque at all engine speeds and trouble free shaft drive - the iffy bits were the front breaks in the rain - flexy frame and forks when pushed hard - quite heavy and this odd jack up effect when moving off in haste - I blew the engine chassing my mate on a ZZR 900 - the centre conrod big end went into melt down - I went over to a FJ11200 which if anything felt lighter and had better breaks and handling.
I did not think about selling the bike - just made it for me. Where are you from ? My bike is located in Germany ! May be some time I will go for a new project and sell the XS......
The shocks are KONI type - currently build by IKON

is that the original gas tank?

@optcyn
Yes, it is the original gas tank of a '76/77 XS 750. Later Modells have a larger tank with a higher line to the seat

The battery is located in the tail section (little door on top). It is a smaller scooter battery.
The rectifier and more electronics is below the seat in a self made aluminum shell between the frame tubes.

Say you sold this. how much would you ask? I'm looking at one in about the same condition. Except a little bit more custom.
