I like Podles' voice in order of timbro and extension, but I find her usually rude in coloraturas and I don't like her emission - too sombré and too covered for Rossini, who is not Verdi. In this piece, she takes many variations, which Rossini always disliked to be done because he wrote the music he wanted to hear. They are overall nice to hear except few part (1:16 for example) and a few more. Let's say it's a nice recording, but there are better.
I love these score animations, when the singers are very good musicians.. LOL and maybe you should do some when they aren't and point out some of these singers weaknesses.. I love Podles.. So I am not picking on her.
Well, what's really the point of listening to someone who is not good? Plus, these are very very time consuming, takes me at least 1:30 hour to make, for longer ones that are 10 minutes takes me up to 3 hours (cutting the measures, putting them in order, synching, etc). So I won't be making any of Gruberova or Devia anytime soon.
oh nooooooo! I was hoping you could show how Devia and Gruberova do NOT sing the low tones while TRANSPOSE the lower passages upwards so that they can pretend they sing them :))
I have been making this point about both of them for a long time now on You tube, and .. I have been called every name in the book... but both of them are inferior singers. They are just high voices, and there is nothing superior about a high voice, in and of itself .. And I agree with Lohengrin.T... you would make coloraturafan and devia fan, crazy if you did this......... When you have a spare hour and half to waste, might turn out to be great fun!
coloraturafan, deviafan, tjLogan, Hotazoperastud and I dont know how many more accounts in youtube are one person: coloraturafan! He actually makes entire conversations with himself and his different accounts to support the stupidities he writes. So no harm done ;)
Hahahahahahahahaha you kill me doctori! Shall we mention all the nicknames from the Wagner operas you used to litter youtube? And other pathetic actions it is not even woth mentioning? But go on... delete the messages which speak the truth.
lol I had forgotten to add ViafiloStupiditsi in the Coloraturafan's list of names. He pretends to be an italian opera critic too besides a HotOperaStupid :)))))))
As if anyone of us cares if his azz is hot or not.. He is not an opera critic, He is not even a good judge of he voice, or otherwise he would puke each time he hears one of those singer mangle the belcanto repertoire.
Loved it!

alla battuta 143 c'è scritto fiato...ma l'ha scritto rossini o qualche revisore?

Personally I don't care what she is "supposed" to be singing, does it REALLY matter. Her voice is so rich, and this is amazingly beautiful.

I advice Bernadette Manca di Nissa's Tancredi. Wonderful! :)

More like not singing what the composer wrote at all and sing whatever the hell they feel like it coz they can't sing what's on the page.

You should start reading. Did you ever realize composers themselves used to transpose passages for singers, in the nineteenth century?
viafilodrammatici 2 years ago
Yes, and that has no bearing on the idiocy of Devia, or Gruberova.. And go away, you are one of the deranged ones.
