--I share the story because what you do is what I aspire to do. All of those things warm my heart. Unfortunately, usually when I find the poor dears they are too decayed to save. I do have two kittens as well, preserved since I was 17 (I'm 25 now), both in the same large jar. They are brother and sister (Felix and Felicious), and both were born to a mother who was too old (12). They were both stillborn, with no bones in their bodies aside from the skulls. So sad, but SO happy I kept them.

I should have preserved my wittle bunny babies but was too young to know how. The momma dwarf bunny had five babies- one was stillborn and we named her Obscurum, one was forced out of the nest and we named him Noctem, and three were kept safe by the momma (Blondie, Torrah, and Salvation). The one that was forced out, Noctem, was kept warm by a nest of the momma's fur we made, and we hand fed him. He died in my arms at only a week old. The other three ended up dying very suddenly a month later.--

My family lives in south west Africa and collect bones, we have them from sea animals mostly, and a puppy that was still born in the freezer which my little sister calls her "slush pluppy" lol. I have a perfect Dolphin Vertebrae that I've bleached (I love it because its so large) and some of my heart tissue I preserved in formaldehyde. I don't know if you have a P.O box or whatnot but just let me know if you'd like any of them

Just a thought- if you have a local college, hospital, or morgue that offers medical studies or classes, they may have human bones that they are willing to donate, or sell for a low price. I know the one college near me has sold human skulls and even whole human skeletons to high schools and independent buyers/collectors. Just an idea! :)

My mother worked at an animal shelter when I was little and would often bring home jars full of animal parts, bones, limbs, etc. My favorite one was a jar with a tiny stillborn puppy inside. It was sad but also neat looking. The jars were leaking formaldehyde at one point and she had to throw half of my stash away. We ended up moving around and a lot of my stuff went missing. :/ I wish I still had the puppy. I'd send it to you.
