For those wanting more information, read Martin Duberman's "Stonewall" New York: Plume, 1993. This book narrates the lead up to the Stonewall Events of 1969 through lives of six activists following them from childhood to 1969 and Post-Stonewall. Sylvia Rivera is one of the activists featured.
