@maialazzo91 If you have relevant mining experience you should have a good chance of obtaining a skilled migrants visa. Check out the government site at = immi(dot)gov(dot)au for more info.
Think outside the box a bit. The hardest part is actually getting on site. I know people on the site where I work who applied for kitchehand and domestic jobs with Sodexo (catering, admin, etc) and used the connections they made to go into other types of work. Even the cleaning and dishpig jobs pay pretty good.
Contrary to popular belief, you don't have to kiss arse. Nobody likes a kiss-arse. Just keep your head down, don't talk shit or gossip, and stay in control when you get on the piss.
Hi im about to start a certificate III course in mining exploration at east perth tafe, is this a good start to a career in mining? could it end up leading to a jumbo operator job? That's the area i want to get into... and will i still need a HR license even if i complete the course?
Hi, Just a quick question. My mother is working in the UK as a police officer, but she wants a career change as a dump truck driver in Australia. How would she get into the job? Does she need a special license? like a MC or something?
Im 34 and looking for a job up in the mines. Got my HR, forkies(15 yrs exp), dogging, basic rigging...about to get MARCSTA and first aid. Registered with a few places so far..just waiting. Just wondering if i am too old for an apprenticeship....really wouldnt mind doing a trade.
its not as hard as you think mate, pull your finger out and go do a MARCSTA course, Senior first aid course than apply for an entry level job like drillers offsider, it may be hard work and shit conditions, but hey, its fukin great pay, gets u experience to get other jobs in the mining industry eventually. i spent atleast a month gettin shit organised and just keep tryin untill u get a chance.
okay how much do you take home monthly after all expenses are paid.i think it would be worth it only if you made 10k a month in your bank account.thanks
mate, ive tried looking everywhere it's bullshit, everything u go to apply for is must have experience, just give up everyone its a load of croch shit
I have to chuckle at these. It aint as easy as it seems boys and girls. Working in some of the most inhospitible places in Australia. A lot of people dont last. If it was all that great they wouldn't have to advertise overseas for workers.
in all industries, employers are favoring indian and asian workers for as less as $13 an hour and they do a shit job - never turn up - put other workers lives at risk.. we demand job security and prosperity - not revenue driven greed.
Any one want a future road train driver? ive got HR/R licences stuck as a tradesman want to become a road train / b tripple driver in the outback.steenenterprise yahoo com
why u on outlook for a job in other country? u dont have it to last speding ur fucking rubbish religion arround the european union? give it a rest bloody 3 world peasent. Stay where u was born, in shit hole country
what about an italian geologist that wants to come over there? ;-) Could i have a chance?

Hi MisterX, it depends if you have a trade or skills that are in high demand in the industry. Like a boilermaker, HD fitter etc.
