I turn 15 tomorrow, and my mother did this for me for my birthday at Claires. Everybody told me that the pain was simple and quick, so I underestimated the pain. I don't know why, but It hurt like hell, and lasted about 2 minutes. But it was worth it, but I still envy those who have a higher pain tolerance. My cousin got her ears pierced too, and it hurt a lot for her as well.

you don't have to be 13 or older! I've seen 5 yr olds getting their ears pierced there! I was 11 when I got my first piercing, and 13 when I got double piercing. but you do have to be 18 to get to do it without a parents supervision/consent

For all you guys wondering about bacteria my mum worked at Claire's for 12 years and has pierced thousands of ears, it doesn't hurt depending on your pain tolerance, the guns don't make infections or rip your skin and if you get infected its your fault most of the time unless the staff aren't trained.

lol .... first of all i got my ears pierced when I was five but i was at an afterschool program and i was looking for a piece of fake food on the carpet and when i lifted up i felt a sharp pain in my ear. The carpet cought onto my earing and totally ripped it off!!!!!!! i had one earing for a cuple days but then i realized it was good that earing came out because i just found out I was alergic to that kind of cheap medal.
