Some really cool stuff. I wish you hadn't added the big bosses that weren't in Metroid 2 and the abilities that weren't either but I guess the newbs that got into the series later wouldn't like their new toys taken away. Still looks awesome!

Metroid II remake isnt done yet (since its the bigger project, and takes much more time to finish), and no demos have been released. idk why it says "demo" in the name, since they're 2 diferent games, just made by the same guy.

Yeah! I just played this game too! The only complaint i have is that when you want to use the missles, you have to hold the respective button. But other than that i am in love with this game!

You need to add the ability to use Charge Beam Power Bomb combos and Charge Beam Missile combos like in Super Metroid and Metroid Prime respectively. Select either the Ice, Wave, Spazer, or Plasma Beams according to the combo you want to perform, then charge it up and arm your Missiles, and then fire. Or, for a Power Bomb combo, follow the previous steps but go into Morph Ball before firing. The Spazer Beam Missile combo should be Swarm Missiles.

Make a Level 2 and a Level 3, one of them featuring Phantooon, and the other featuring Draygon. And Level 4 featuring Crocomier. And then finally, Level 5: Tourian. Even featuring Mother Brain and an escape at the end. This preview is for Level 1. Metroid Confrontation is just Samus Aran's Advanced training simulator.

@Amaroqdricaldari I always believed the Hyper Beam to be the alteration of Samus' weapon after the Metroid energized her and died. The Metroid had absorbed all the power from Mother Brain's final attack and when it transferred that energy to a weakened Samus the Gravity Suit absorbed that power. It's never technically explained but I think it fits. The color of the beam also matches Mother Brain's attack. What do you think?

no the beta is like a game simply dl and run the .exe file theres no gamemaker required in order to play it.

you can infact test games with the gamemaker though. thats i think what you ment with playing with game maker.

Putting Met-Con on the DS=one awesome on-the-fly game, without a laptop.

However, you have to reassemble the code so a flash card can read it, plus tweak the controls (maybe SNES format, this is based on GBA).

i just played this today and found a cool glitch where you can do infinite jumps i had the high jump,morph ball, spazer, bombs etc. all you do is jump up to the peek and NOT diagnal where it makes you do flips when your at the peek of the jump just press down down up up fast this makes you go morphball then when you un morphball it shoots you up like if u were to jump in midair you can keep doing this in the air its really fun

I was able to replicate the bug, it's one of the many problems that were caused by the hijump ability. I fixed a lot of bugs about jumping, but I didn't know about his one.

It'll be fixed for the remake release.

I have to admit, it's really funny glitch to play. I guess we'll see speedruns using it somewhere.

Well, I was going to comment about how this doesn't look too much like Metroid II, but now I realize the internet is mislabeling things again. Anyway, looks really good, but time-line wise, awkward to have another adventure squeezed into the pre-M2 time.

If Metroid II really was remade, I'd like one without a map. Not having a map really helped build this claustrophobic atmosphere that the others don't have. Maybe if it cut out in Metroid areas, but came back after the area was cleared..

he/she changed the name of the metroid 2 project. it is confrontation. he/she is still making it so we can have a demo. also this is a remake of the game, so a map might need to be there because of the fusion/zm release

Really, I didn't like what they did to Zero Mission in terms of telling you exactly where to go all the time.  The map in ZM was okay, but most of Metroid-II's atmosphere was due to lack of map, feeling lost, not sure where you were. I understand this game isn't an actual remake of M2, but I really feel that if it ever was, M2 almost needs a lack of map.
