I haven't yet watched the last 3 episodes, but my major complaint to the writers of this show is that being that the subject matter involved ancient celtic tribes trying to preserve their culture, there is no mention whatsoever about their Pagan spirituality (other than the dark evil rituals performed by the "bad guys") and certainly nothing about the Mother Goddess. In fact Christ was promoted in some of the episdoes. Nothing against Christ, but it's not historically accurate.
Roar was only 13 episodes, now available on dvd! Heath was 17 years old when he filmed Roar! He was the only one in the program who could act, and act he did! Boy oh boy did Shaun predict well about Heath! We miss you so much, sweet baby Heath.
This series is where I first saw Heath Ledger and noticed his talent. It was a cool show, but didn't last long, probably because they put it on at a bad time and didn't publicize it enough. Luckily, you can buy the series on DVD.
It was shown on UK tv late every Fri night back in 2002 but it was axed due to low viewing figures (I am guessing thats why anyway) and was never shown til the end. Great show, and a lot of people don't realise it was this show that helped start Heath Ledger's career. I can't believe Heath Ledger is dead, such a waste of a young life and talent. RIP Heath.

I've never heard of this film/series! Does anyone know if it was released/shown in UK? Looks fun;...really like fantasy/ myth type films.
Heath Ledger was a very beautiful man and I will miss seeing him on the screen! RIP.
