If you ask God to forgive you for your mistakes and "turn away" (ie. try your hardest to not ever do that again) from them, you will be forgiven. It's just that simple. Divorce is not any different than any other sin, it certainly is not the worst. Don't be troubled in your walk, that is what the enemy wants. Keep your sights on the love you have for Jesus and you will be just fine :)

The annoying thing is the gentile tendancy to pick and chose which guidelines apply to him. Homosexuality for example, the Bible is very clear that it is prohibited. Gay marriage is abomination and true Christians know that. The reason people hate the Jews is because they remind man is responsible for his actions. No "I'm Saved" get out of jail free cards allowed.

@princeofswine The story is really long so I will paraphrase a lot. When I was 12 or 13 I hated my life and wanted to end it- and I would have. I had absolutely no self worth. I had experienced many types of abuse for years on end. including, six years of ceaseless sexual abuse. My father was abusive to my mother and me and my mother took it out on me. My father used God and the Bible as excuses for what he did and both of my parents were constantly instilling the fear of God in me, so to speak.

I decided that if there was a God that He must hate me and I didn't want to live anymore for that reason and for the pain the abuses were causing me. I resolved one night to kill myself but I couldn't bc the spirit of God came down on me, literally (if you don't believe in God I don't expect you to understand how that felt). I fell flat on my face and began to weep uncontrollably.

Imagine someone so full of hate receive these gifts and be transformed in a single night. I knew that my circumstances weren't going to change but I was given such strength (the joy of the Lord is my strength). It is really hard to explain what happened there that night but it was not my imagination. I did not desire an intervention but got one

@princeofswine The story is really long so I will paraphrase a lot. When I was 12 or 13 I hated my life and wanted to end it- and I would have. I had absolutely no self worth. I had experienced many types of abuse for years on end. including, six years of ceaseless sexual abuse. My father was abusive to my mother and me and my mother took it out on me. My father used God and the Bible as excuses for what he did and both of my parents were constantly instilling the fear of God in me, so to speak.

@worksequalsalvation I understand the term perfectly and you fit the term. You have no basic respect of the freedom of peoples belief systems. My Christian friends have never supported wars without the need. Most I know opposed the Gulf and former Iraqi war. I believe that we should protect the freedoms of all that don't interfere or harm others, and defend our own nations from any threat within those borders.
I still haven't heard what you believe except criticizing others

Paul then teaches he gets all his doctrine from dreams.He calls apostles liars in Gal2.Jesus sanctifies them in truth making them 1 with the Father and Himself.Jn17.
Paul says Jesus only came in the"appearance of human flesh" which is why the epistles of John as well as James was written to refute Paul's books written to oppose and destroy the Jews.Paul claims Nero is a minister of God.Rom14.Nero is in power and he says he will not reward good with bad.Really...Nero?

Paul is that deception which could fool the elect of God if it were possible.The Jews would not accept Paul.The gentiles accepted Rome,hell and the devil called Christianity.They worship the sun and Sun of Righteousness.Mal4:2.Christianity is sun worship,equinox,sostice and sabbath sun days. Jesus equates to son of Zeus. One has got to give Rome credit,they created a system of control and torture which has cursed the world bringing misery and sorrow.Christianity is evil.

@thedagonjones Rome is evil. (what you are saying about the sun doesn't entirely make sense though). Rome doesn't equal Christianity. Christianity doesn't equal evil. Christianity means salvation through grace which comes from belief and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ- it doesn't matter how religious one is. The Roman Catholic church has largely been deceived- it thinks that control and a set of rules and religious rituals= salvation- this is indeed an evil deception.

@thedagonjones In I Cor 3 Paul spoke against people following Him. Jesus said that He was the only way and that no one could get to the Father except though Him. It doesn't matter what you think about Christianity- There is still a God, still sin, still a Hell, and still salvation and a Heaven- all these things are supernatural and Paul couldn't have created any of them (btw I did look into the thing about Paul and I just didn't buy it)

that means the same thing as in eg buddhism when you can only become enlightened by going a certain path.
going 'thru' the father is the only way to it, like in kabbalah to get to the top sphere (kind of analogous to crown chakra, enlightenment) you have to go thru the others first.
like jesus and any other mystics etc do.

@thedagonjones Hell is real and I am not glad because those who don't believe in it will end up there. I do not follow Paul. (read 1 Corinthians 3:5 which is written by Paul). I follow Jesus Christ who alone has the power to save me from Hell. Btw Paul doesn't teach faith a faith only doctrine (read Romans 2:5-11). Paul was an apostle not a prophet
