  • It's Protected By Magic.

  • I am 3d artist because of this show!!! I love it!

  • I find it funny how they are calling the cat realistic, yet, ILM killed these guys in the same year with dinosaurs that actually still holds up today.

  • @KayleLang You show me your work

  • @TylerHaslett I like this comment...thats always the rebuttal when defending art....Lets see what you can do..if you cant do anything than shut it!!! HAHA

  • vc is awesome!

  • It's funny that people thought that was photo realistic in back then, hell I don't even consider modern CGI to look photo realistic.

    (15:36 Andrew Kramer from the 90's =P)

  • I still think Jurassic Park has the best blend of CGI and special effects

  • @alphalink for that time yeah.

  • @alphalink Industrial Light and Magic? but of course, they're the best, they also take their sweet time

  • i watched this whole thing haha

  • Fantastic...

  • @SpamNapkin made me lol while i was eating you bastard

  • Man, its amazing to look at these episodes years after I originally saw them, and see how far CGI has come. Hell, I have software like 3D studio Max and Zbrush on my computer, yet here we see the magic from its infancy. Really cool. I can remember when all this CGI stuff was a pipe dream, yet now people are learning it so easily and quickly, that its become astounding.

I really find it amazing to see how painstaking CGI was compared to nowadays. There's no need to scan a sculpture now.

  • im not sure but i think its protected by magic..

  • If I have to hear - "It's protected by ma-GIC!" one more fuckin' time....

  • Actually you were probably right. I just looked it up and the show ran until 1997. James and the Giant Peach was in 1996. My bad.

  • Thanks for posting these up, this was a great show. Do you have the episode where they covered James and the Giant Peach?

  • @screamingskull This show predates James and the Giant Peach.

  • @DarthHater100 Maybe it was another "behind-the-scenes" tv show. I have a tape of it somewhere, I'll try to find it.

  • man this is some old school shit!
