The iOS will NEVER EVER EVER support Adobe's Flash. Its slow, buggy and its a cpu hog, software decoding reduces by HALF the battery life. Although Apple is developing a flash alternative called Gianduia (looks like apple really likes food) and it could possibly be compatible with their mobile devices.

Why doesn't apple like Flash and don't want it? Because Flash is a memory hog, and Adobe doesn't want to fix the poor quality of it's Flash software on macs. 9 out of 10 times a browser glitches...it's because of flash. Just because alot of websites use it doesn't mean it's the best way to go. Flash requires plug-in's and is not user friendly to all devices and browsers. HTML5 is the way to go (and this is coming from a web designer) and Apple is headed in the right direction. You'll see.

The problem is, Apple have been generous in making it run very smoothly and act very much like a Mac (PC whatever you like) So people seem to expect more, but don't realize that its at its limits. I dunno what the speeds are but thats my theory that its running as good as it can.

You have obviously seen what they're making for it.

But they should make an App called TrackPad, and you basically can connect via Bluetooth and use it as a virtual TrackPad. Can't you see that? TrackPad = Laptop Mouse

Why is a customizable important. A lock screen is to lock out unauthorized users. If you can see your emails on the lock screen, then doesn't that 3/4ths of the way defeat the purpose of locking your phone? Maybe a screen saver that can be customized, but the lock should do just what it does now, lock, nothing else. Ideas like that is exactly why this device is frowned upon in the corporate enterprise.

Not bad but if you're going to be reviewing things you need to do your research and know your subject better. Check out Apple Insider's Flash Wars series and you'll see why Flash is simply not going to come to the iPhone and for good reasons.

Multitasking is coming, I'm sure of that but Apple are going to get it right. They don't want poor performance, poor security and poor battery life. I've seen Blackberry's idea of multitasking and it's definitely not what I want on my phone!

One recommendation, GET A JOB AT APPLE! All of the things you are talking about are great ideas. Just about everyone who has an iPod touch/iPhone would agree with you. However, there needs to be someone inside who can show them that these would be excellent ideas and that by doing this they won't lose money, they'll make money. iTunes has games to buy, and if it has flash, people can go onto FREE online games, and therefore bring customers away from apple.

But I don't think apple want to provide multitasking and Flash player in Iphone. Yes, Multitasking is a great features, but it also bring instability to the system and slow down the system. Flash basically sucks on Mac system, may be bacuse apple didn't put enough resources to support it. Just look at how some flash applications crash on Mac pro while they work fine on windows or other systems. That's why apple didn't bring it to ipods and iphones.

Valid points.

1. Apple will not support Flash, apple is claiming and saying its resource heavy and buggy. Hence the new iPad, which does not support flash either.

2.Multi-tasking = faster battery drain unless they convert to OLED.

3. Apple is smart, they create a phone lacking basic shit, then everyone buys it. Then they release another with the added feature and everyone buys it again. It's a huge marketing ploy.

yeah apple has really disappointed me lately. i jailbroke my ipod touch so that i could really take advantage of what my device can do. i have 5x5 icons on my springboard, i have themes, admin options...things that i use on a daily basis. and it works fine. if apple can bring os4.0 up to par with other phones or even other devices on their product line, then i'm sure they'd sell more devices and have a lot more return customers.

I think themes and non appstore apps that only are aviable for jailbraked iPhones should be aviable for normal firmware iPhones, and if they make a new generation iPhone and not only a new generation OS, they might want to upgrade the Cameras resolution and some kind of flash. And yeah, non youtube flash games or other pages should be supported.

And they should renew the UI with visual effects.
