early 86 ST and GT had a 2S-E 2.0 liter SOHC engine with 96 (or so) HP, then from 87-on, the ST and GT were upgraded to a better 3S-FE 2.0 liter DOHC engine with 115HP, However, the GTS model had a completely different, high performance, 3S-GE 2.0 liter DOHC ("twin cam") engine with 135 HP and a 7300rpm redline... pretty impressive for its time...
