@pimpninja1985 Just to let you know, I only own an Ipod. If I lived in the USA and could get an Iphone for $200, I'd definatelly get one, but in Europe, ~500 euros, which is a lot more in dollars.

iPhone has a bland, uninspired design, has a smaller screen, no widgets, no customisation, worse camera, not as thin, the interface looks cheap and EXTREMELY dated, it costs A LOT more, no physical buttons (requiring on screen buttons that take up even more space on that already cramped screen), no Flash support, the screen doesn't support widescreen movies (so you get black strips at the top and bottom).
I think the question here isn't which is better, but who we like more. For all you SE haters - define "feels cheap", cause i think that SE is better looking than the iphone and i personaly like it more - better design and bigger screen. No doubt the iphone is good, but it isn't worth it money if you ask me.

I got the xperia active and it is awesome no lagg and it is faster than the iphone4 i have tried a lot of the new SE xperia phones and they dont lagg and the new android market is better looking than appstore

I owned an I phone 3Gs. it has been stolen in my car. I didn't want to spend the ridiculous cost of a new Iphone. I bough my first android an Xperia ARC, and it's just awesome!

I have a Arc and am selling it after two months it is slow as fuck and lags really bad, Am getting iphone 4s instead. The sound quality is not that loud on the arc in the headphones. Save your money

O, yes and SE is nowhere in this.....the problem is that instead of innovating, these other companies, just try to copy the model of Apple and when they will finish copying, Apple or some other will come with the new generation once again, to be again copied by the crowd. Those companies are just filling a gap in a market, doing nothing new. That's why I prefer an iPhone any day, over all those, like 10 years ago, I preferred and Ericsson for the same reason.

Well, iPhone is better built. Have you ever held these two together like that ? iPhone is made out of metal and quality materials, has better OS, wile Xperia just has a bigger screen to fight against it. Xperia is made out of cheap plastic, looks far less durable than any iPhone. I like SonyEricsson phones, but this just can't compete with the apple, due to cheap materials.
@RamyRamz69 Dude, I got an Arc and an iPhone and I can say I prefer the iPhone for it's looks. Probably is a matter of taste, but for me, the Arc looks like a toy, unfortunately. It has good specs, nice screen but cheaply made and cheap looking. Same goes for Galaxy S and such, they all look so cheap compared to the iPhone. There must be a reason why iPhone beats them constantly in sales, is it ? Well it's cause is, overall, the best phone, still.

Why? iPhone has a simple basic rectangular design while the Arc has nice, smooth and sexy curves. All can agree, but as you said; its a matter of taste. Regarding the sales, do you have any proof that the iPhone outsold any android devices...and by iPhone I mean iPhone 4, not all of them together. I know the Galaxy S2 sold alone 20 million units worldwide.

Well, yes but the problem is Apple is known for innovation these days, while Nokia was yesterday and SonyEricsson was....well back int he days of Ericsson t28 if I remember. That's the problem now, from leaders, Nokia and SE are now in the posture of humble followers, making second hand devices, not so innovative and somewhat cheaper looking, lower quality. That's the reality of today.....Apple makes the phone, the OS, the apps...while SE and Nokia just borrow lately.

I owned an I phone 3Gs. it has been stolen in my car. I didn't want to spend the ridiculous cost of a new Iphone. I bough my first android an Xperia ARC, and it's just awesome!
I believe that here in Europe to own an Iphone is more like a culutral and snob, showing off thing more than just a choice of phone performances.

iPhone sucks........ Just to download a theme you need to jailbreak it . Android ... For example: Regina Launcher .. And aaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllll the android phones against a few models of iPhones' . Plus the electronic chips sets are from Samsung. And Who invented android? Hmmmm....... Let me think...Google!! Steve Jobs asked Sergey Brin the co-founder of google if he can create the " Safari". Of course he answered with a big "YES". So it means Android helped apple.......

Xperia is far more superior. The only flaw is the lack of front camera for those people who enjoy that feature. But with Xperia you can download apps of Japanese idol that are blocked on iPhone. XD

I have a Arc and am selling it after two months it is slow as fuck and lags really bad, Am getting iphone 4s instead. The sound quality is not that loud on the arc in the headphones. Save your money

O, yes and SE is nowhere in this.....the problem is that instead of innovating, these other companies, just try to copy the model of Apple and when they will finish copying, Apple or some other will come with the new generation once again, to be again copied by the crowd. Those companies are just filling a gap in a market, doing nothing new. That's why I prefer an iPhone any day, over all those, like 10 years ago, I preferred and Ericsson for the same reason.

Well they sue them cause they copy, that's why........I mean, Samsung even copied the start button as I said. Now wouldn't you sue them ? Samsung is a copy-cat and I invite you to open a Samsung product marketed with Samsung tech......you won't see Samsung on any component, instead you'll find a lot of crap parts in there. Open a Samsung TV and you will find a HannStar screen.
Apple sues them for good reasons, I'd do the same, they all copy and steal designs.

@vrcraft Ah...actually every time Apple sues them they get rejected and have to pay Samsung massive amounts of money and Samsung products get even more famous...And seriously, if copying means somehow taking the design and modifying it, then I should sue Apple for copying their Laptops and PCs from IBM and Windows...Copying the iPhone's design from the LG Prada and the iPod Nano from the Sony Walkman...What you're saying is plain stupid, Apple HATES competition. Why? Their sales are dropping :)

Well, iPhone is better built. Have you ever held these two together like that ? iPhone is made out of metal and quality materials, has better OS, wile Xperia just has a bigger screen to fight against it. Xperia is made out of cheap plastic, looks far less durable than any iPhone. I like SonyEricsson phones, but this just can't compete with the apple, due to cheap materials.

@RamyRamz69 Dude, I got an Arc and an iPhone and I can say I prefer the iPhone for it's looks. Probably is a matter of taste, but for me, the Arc looks like a toy, unfortunately. It has good specs, nice screen but cheaply made and cheap looking. Same goes for Galaxy S and such, they all look so cheap compared to the iPhone. There must be a reason why iPhone beats them constantly in sales, is it ? Well it's cause is, overall, the best phone, still.

@vrcraft Ha? Seriously...I do really own both of them and I can clearly say that my Misty Silver Arc looks WAY better than my white iPhone 4. Why? iPhone has a simple basic rectangular design while the Arc has nice, smooth and sexy curves. All can agree, but as you said; its a matter of taste. Regarding the sales, do you have any proof that the iPhone outsold any android devices...and by iPhone I mean iPhone 4, not all of them together. I know the Galaxy S2 sold alone 20 million units worldwide.

Price, Marketing, Company, Nationality of the company
If you're saying that the iPhone is better because it (Somehow) sold more than the high end android devices, then I can tell you that my lovely Nokia N95 sold way more than all of these phones :D

Well, yes but the problem is Apple is known for innovation these days, while Nokia was yesterday and SonyEricsson was....well back int he days of Ericsson t28 if I remember. That's the problem now, from leaders, Nokia and SE are now in the posture of humble followers, making second hand devices, not so innovative and somewhat cheaper looking, lower quality. That's the reality of today.....Apple makes the phone, the OS, the apps...while SE and Nokia just borrow lately.

Well, Apple take it all to another level, with the new OS, better touchscreen, apps store concept...then Android and the followers came, with Microsoft and Nokia, trying to recreate the same model these days. They all are yesterday compared to Apple today, they're lazy, too lazy to take the risks and come with new concepts, instead they just put bigger screens and empty specs, to fill the market. They all just live in the shadow of Apple these days.

Dude, you compare Android, which is an OS with Apple ? :)...wake up. Look at Nokia, almost bankrupt, SE..a shadow of Ericsson, no innovations what so ever, HTC..what is that ? That's just in the USA, and Apple is a company made in the USA. I don't want to mention the sales in the whole world so you won't get disappointed ;)

Every and each company (Unlike Apple) offers 1Low end devices,2Mid-Range devices and 3High End devices :) iPhone is 1 high end device :)

@vrcraft With more downloads everyday, a 58% of free applications(Compared to Apple's 27%), very famous titles like Angry Birds for example being free on the Android Market, and most importantly:
ALL ANDROID PHONES ABOVE 1.6 DONUT (97% of the phones) CAN RUN EACH AND EVERY SINGLE APPLICATION IN THE ANDROID MARKET. Unlike iPhones :)

They were lazy to upgrade it...Coming to Android, I can assure you not. Android is an open source OS, more famous companies want Android or Windows Phone these days. RIM and Apple sales are actually the ones going DOWN, not Android. Proof? Check the sales...

iPhone's and iPad's processor = Made by Samsung. The ability to have folders = Copied from Android. And I don't believe you one bit if you say that you have an Arc. Regarding the App store, Android market is in the lead right now.
