@kwarogcore: i agree on dt. but stil we need to prioritize circulation and defibrillation. Defib is the priority mgt for adult pts. But instead of ET intubation, King LT nalang. mas safe pa xa. bout d CPR, ur right on dt again, but dr pt is not on the bed. just an improvised bed.i think this was on d spot demo lang just to show the flow of acls.
you racist sun of a bitch..didnt your redneck ass dad teach you not to talk bad about people that are much better than you..well instead of drinking beer and running naked on the highway all day.. he should've ..take it easy bitch : )
First rule of chest compression. Press HARD and fast. The guy was bending his elbows while performing compressions. Simulate reality when teaching these kinds of classes.
...but i understand why they still have to check for pulse even if VF. They were just following a protocol that every after ECG rhythm analysis, they have to check for pulse. Though, the team leader may not ask for pulse checking anymore if it's VF as we all know.=)
uhmmm...in the scenario, the patient is on WITNESSED ARREST so you only need to check for pulse or for breathing for no more than 5 seconds only. Yep, you check for pulse/breathing for no more than 10 seconds but only if the patient is on UNWITNESSED ARREST or as long as the patient is not yet attached to the cardiac monitor. This explains why they do check only for 5 seconds or less. You're right on VF, you don't need to check for pulse since it's automatic pulseless.
The coordination was good but i think there are still flaws with the guidelines... For checking the pulse and breathing needs 10 seconds each step. If the rhythm is VF it needs immediate shock... No need to check for pulse since VF occurs in pulseless patients. If VT, check for pulse since it can exist with or without pulse... You can check the current AHA guidelines for reference... ;)
hehe, nice vid
