Its not fake. When you hit the bottle, the bottle goes down faster than the water, therefore creating a vacuum at the bottom of the bottle. The vacuum pulls the water back down with enough force to break the bottom.

it helps if u wrap a cloth or towl around your hand so it doesnt hurt your hand and u can hit it harder.........im only a kid and i can break it so i think it helps alot

it works with any beer bottle, but if you've never done it before you might hurt your hand a little trying to get it just right. My hand hurt for about 3 days because of my many failed attempts but it's easy after you get it.

They used water. It doesn't work with carbonated liquid. With water, the velocity causes a "vacuum bubble" at the bottom...and the water rushes back to fill the vaccum hitting the glass at high velocity to break it. With a carbonated beverage, the CO2 will fill that vaccum and the liquid won't rush back to hit the glass as hard. Don't try this because the glass can shard and cut your hand.
