  • I made dandelion wine but I must have been allergic to the dandelions 'cos it made me ill!

  • I was wondering why you froze your dandilion flowers rather than drying them?

  • I don't have a problem with how you made this and i am sure it turned out good but the only thing i had a problem with was I felt like with the honey this would be technically be called a mead

  • O.O that's a lot of honey you must have some beekeeper friends because honey is not at all cheap so I'd feel better using sugar.

  • I can't find part two!!!

  • right on! nice vid thanks.

  • Honey naturally creates peroxide in low quantities, which is why often certain yeasts and such don't do so well. You need a hardy yeast type, and often need to then add more honey after the initial racking or just prior to bottling once the fermentation is done to keep is sweet rather then dry.

  • DANDELION WINE is the title of a book by Ray Bradbury---a good read!

  • @12hatchet aaaw that's not nice :( She can't help it. That's just what happens to a lot of fat people's mouths when they talk :(

  • thanks for sharing this ...I've hundred's of dandelions.. I'll leave the yeasts 'nutrients ' out ..the honey will feed the yeast no ?

Made some elderflower 'champagne' this summer , was v nice... don't even need to add yeast .. sparkles too,

    pm me for recipe

  • @djmisplacedmarblesTV Unfortunately, honey has this odd tendency to slow down yeasts. That is why mead almost requires nutrient. Trude mead wasn't nearly as common as metheglin (honey with spices or herbs), melomel (honey with fruits) , pyment (honey with grapes).
