He is fantastic. His lyrics are briljant. Definitely one of my favorite artists, among Ray Lamontagne, Paolo Nutini, Brett Dennen, Bon Iver ,Robert Francis and Angus and Julia Stone. If your unfamiliar with one of those: go check em out as well :)
This song makes me miss my home. The way it used to be when i was little. Places grow people change and people die. hurricanes knock all the trees down. Its not the home I grew up to love.
hey that's too bad you missed out then, he was here in holland 28th of september 2008, go to my channel you'll see some live vids from there in limburg ;)
Yeah, listened to him when his first CD came out, until when Paris in the Morning came out. After that I stopped listening for some reason (worst decision in my life :p).
when i havnt been home in a while during the early spring and i listen to this song it is so good. its like he is singing about the way i feel about where i was raised. i hate the change
Yeah the lyrics are awesome eh? I went to see Tom mcrae a few years back and joe purdy was supporting along with a few others, he's just one of the best song writer's around.
Sa voix est magnifique...
Joe.. <3

Most likely his best lyrics (apart from Rainy Day Lament that is), just great.
I wish he'll come to the Netherlands for once :(
