  • Awesome bike man. I have one and I gotta say this has been my best bike ever. Very street friendly. Honda is truly awesome. They know their shit real good ;)

  • does anyone make a side exhaust for it? Im going to get a 06-08 supersport bike, I just really started wanting one to race.. Im sure you know more about all the bikes than me, what would you suggest?

  • you talk too much

  • @Johny40se7en well I'm in the same situation your in with getting a first bike but I'm 18 and whoever said that is wrong... the riding position has nothing to do with being a good first bike... its the power, so basically I'm looking at a Suzuki sv650s which is a lean forward position but its only a vtwin 650, this is a great beginner bike for someone who has ridden a bike before but not own one. These 600cc inline fours are too much even at any age. Age Plays no role. Take the msf course first!

  • @ih8momjokes1 I can pretty much agree with you, although I'd still recommend a Ninja 250R or the new CBR250. The SV650 and 650R are great all around bikes and better around town than an inline 4 anyway since you don't need to get over 5k to feel the power.

  • Just spent 9 minutes listening to a talking photograph and I enjoyed every second of it.

Ps. Rear seat cowl and low bar-end mirrors would seriously set this bike off.

  • @marlo916 Thanks.

I like the visibility of the stock mirrors and I have passengers a lot, but I agree the cowl looks better.

  • Great review. I enjoy your logic.

  • so are you telling me i shouldnt get one lol

  • im 6 4 how comftorable do you think this would be for me or am i to big for this bike

  • @polarisman19 If your 6'4 your too big for All bikes and Some cars.

  • @polarisman19 All supersports are going to be almost the same. I think the 600RR is the most comfortable 600 supersport, but you'll probably have an inch or so more leg room on the R6. None of them are really comfortable for more than an hour or two.

  • @skyline44512 yeah i went and sat on some at a dealership and cbr and zx6r were def. the best but im thinking prlly zx6r

  • you say that the bike gets uncomftrable after 3 hours or so? im looking to buy one and i travel alot but u also said that your 6'1". im 5'7" much shorter, do you think this bike would be good for me? also my first street bike... i have a raptor 660 but thats a whole diff story... you seem to know alot, oh and by the way i love ur bike!! so sick!!

  • @Eliteking2306 3 hours? lol your ass would be numb after 45 min on a cbr. the older 01-04 gsxr600 has a pretty comfortable seat and setting.

  • @gsxrpik i just bought a 05 yzf yamaha 600r and i like it so far... i havent crashed or anything im a safe driver and i respect the bikes alot, ive seen many accidents and deaths so yea :D thanks for the vid tho

  • @gsxrpik i mean comment hahaha im trippen

  • @gsxrpik Everyone is different. If you're in good shape and have a strong core the bike is really comfortable for a few hours. Most people support some of their weight on their wrists because they lack the core strength.

  • powers in second got an 09 comes up pretty easily just gotta preload

  • Good rider review.

  • I'm watching this video because I don't have a motorbike and really wish I did. :'(

  • @SinkorSwim1000 hey mate, buy a 250 if your new to riding or just wanting to get a bike for the moment, but get the 600 when/if you ever get the chance too haha

  • how was it going from a ninia 650r to this??? I have an 08 ninja 650r n I wanna go to the ninja zx-6r... any advice bud???

  • @SinkorSwim1000 Just so you know, ALL 600cc Super Sports (r6,zx6r,gsxr600,cbr600) do 0-60 in 3.6ish sec and runa high 10 1/4 mile. They are track monsters and pretty tame under 8K rpm but really suck at low speed stuff because of the tall 1st gear. The 250 is loads of fun because you can ride it to its max potential legally, gets great gas mileage, and is a blast in the twisties. You will become a better rider by starting small but you will be wanting a bike with more power after a few months.

  • i hope you are happy with your life, cause the bike you own is my dream

  • they should measure vehicles in smiles/gallon(spg). it would be so much better

  • Everything the poster liked about this bike is better into the 09+ Kawasaki zx6r. Plus slipper clutch. Just sayin.

  • @ormand3000 Let's examine:

    Curb weight w/fuel: 08 CBR600RR 410lbs vs 09 ZX6R 422lbs

    Wheel horsepower: 08 CBR600RR 107 vs 09 ZX6R 105

    Wheel torque: 08 CBR600RR 46 vs 09 ZX6R 42

    MSRP 08 CBR600RR $9,599 vs 09 ZX6R $9,799

Yes, the ZX has a slipper clutch and the CBR doesn't but I have never needed one. The CBR has an electronic steering damper, and the ZX doesn't.

So, for less money, I'll take the bike that weighs less, has more horsepower and torque, and (to me) is more comfortable.

  • @skyline44512 Have you ever rode a supersport with a slipper clutch? My Gixxer has a slipper clutch and it's a lot easier to downshift and brake at the same time without worrying about blipping... to each their own.

  • do you recomend this or a r6 for a first bike?

  • @87apx cbr is better for first bike as parts are a easier to get and cheaper compared to the R6 ? IMO

  • what is the best street 600cc bike?

  • what the fuck

  • That "awkward" surge...is the VTEC! lol

  • Hi, just wondering one thing.

Ive got an r6 09! really liked the look and everything, but the thing that really enoys me now after 1months its the power =S u really have to puch this up to 8-9k before noticeing any power. and i ride often with my girl on the back, and not that comfortable =\ first thought was moving on to a 1000cc but than i only can afford an 04-06 model, or should i just go for cbr 600rr 08-09 model?

  • Got a '04 Ninja 250 at the moment and looking for a 600. Thing I like about the CBR 600 is the fuel injection and reliability. I assume Kawasaki and Honda are about the same in reliability. I also kind of like the sound of the CBR 600 from what I've heard in videos (beats the heck out of my Ninja 250 exhaust note...Ha), along with a few other things. But damn would I miss the 70 MPG of my Ninja 250... Might have to wait until gas goes down more or just keep the 250 as a second bike... :))

  • This is what a MCN review should be like. i'm sure i'm not the only one who thinks so.

  • i had no idea i bought such an amazing bike when i did. this review is amazing. And i love this bike. and to me it seems like the gas mileage is amazing....especially refilling. 10 bucks a tank is legit.

  • btw, how do you manage to adjust the rear preload. ive tried my c spanner tool and the damn thing wont move. its a big PITA !!

  • @10nekrosiusp That's my desktop background, it was windy outside and when I tried to review it outside the audio was terrible.

If you want to see other videos of this bike check out my channel.

  • good review.. but why use a photo if you own the bike?

  • @GOBbluthagain Weather not permitting...that's my desktop background. Audio quality is a lot better when I am not out in that parking lot with the wind blowing and people coming in and out (car doors slamming, etc).

Obviously there isn't a question of whether or not I really own the bike lol, since I have other videos of it.

  • @skyline44512 haha.. yea i know now, just watched your other videos... that crash looked painful.

  • One of the best bike reviews I ever saw! I love how you went into the finer details!

    What model year is this?

Thanks again for the review, much appreciated!

  • @mcbrite 2008 (2007 and 2008 are the same),

  • @skyline44512 Is this a good bike for my first bike? Like i would be learning on this.. the only other bike i ever rode was 250cc cruiser.. for a short time.

  • What type of fender eliminator do you have? Would you recommend it? I just got a '07 CBR 600rr. I'm looking for some aftermarket stuff. Thanks!

  • @laylownismo CBR Heaven fender eliminator and Clear Alternatives tail light. It's a great setup.

  • I find it kind of amazing that guys are seriously considering a bike like this to learn on. You'd have to have a death wish to jump on a 600RR with no previous experience. Actually, I find it amazing that you are even allowed to do that in some countries. In Australia you would need at least 3 years experience on a 250cc bike before you could ride a bike like this. I have a mate with one and he says after 6 years of riding it it still scares the shit out of him...

  • @Pamberjack I never rode a motorcycle before, and i just bought a 2009 CBR600 yesterday. And im still alive....hmmm weird

  • @Birdcage67554 That's cool. Best of luck to you - just be safe and make sure you use yr brain to control yr right hand and not yr ego. But I reckon that if were to chat again in a few year's time, you'd be the first to admit that you should've chose something a little less hardcore for yr first bike. Guaranteed.

  • @Pamberjack why are you talking like im gonna be vaporized as soon as i ride a 600. Its not that much bike, im already used to it and im about to trade it in for an R1. Stop being so scared of everything

  • @10nekrosiusp how..his bike is orange

  • The reason why the fuel gauge doesn't go down at a constant speed is for a simple reason. The fuel level is measured by the height of the fuel in the tank. Since the tank is wider and narrower in certain parts, it takes either longer or shorter amount of time for the height of fuel to change.

  • hey im 22, would you know how much would insurance be for me, i live in canada

  • how comfortable of a ride do you have on the CBR600RR?

  • Hmm so it won't wheelie in second gear? I thought the 600's would =) CBR600RR or GSX-R 750 will be my first bike!

  • is this a good sport bike to learn on? Even though you had prior experience with 250cc dirtbikes and have taken the MSF course

  • awesome review, i am now a subscriber!

  • i just bought one fuckin sick ima paint it pearl white

  • this is the best review i have seen on it on the internet. you are not bias unlike a lot of people.

  • @ben14kansas Thanks :)

  • @ben14kansas Agreed

  • you just sold me on this.

    cbr 600rr it is :)

  • So I'm looking into getting a 600RR i been wanting one for years now and I have only messed around on a 250cc dirtbike once and Was not sure if a 600 wld be a good choice for my first bike. I know I could control myself on it until I got experience but I'm just not sure if I shld gø with a ninja 250r or the cbr 600RR for my first bike.

  • great review dude

  • I had forgotten, I just clicked back on to like it, because saying so isn't good enough, bro! I had to show it by putting my thumbs up, too. Just kidding, but really, I thought of one thing I wish to ask you and I'll be delighted if you reply to my email, but I will live if you don't or whatever, but, I've never had a bike with the tailpipe like a Ducati or Triumph like that, and, is the brake light being visible a problem or what? I'm a big fan of GOOD brake lights to combat prick drivers.

  • Man, thank you. I don't find good reviews like this all of the time. I was looking at Suzuki's GSXs and stuff, and also I like Yamaha's R6, but like you said, the Honda CBR keeps on having the best ridability and tech of the group. That's what other people say, but they say it in too much brevity, and I really learned EVERYTHING from you here which I needed to hear. It confirms my suspicion that this is the best 6. I even like orange now the way this bike is.

  • I saw on one of your vids you had the two brothers slip on. I'm interested in getting one, how much did you get yours for and do you know any good websites?

  • i have a 06 cbr600rr and in traffic bike heats up to about 220 fans do kick on but not sure if this temp is normal operating temp or is it excessive?

  • @Goodtymes1320 Nah mine does that too. Perfectly normal.

  • dumbest question ever,

the bike is for one ? or for two people?

cause i see there on the tail is seat but i dont see the 'pedals' to put legs for the second person

  • @DSPoductions There are rear foot pegs for the passenger. The fold up when you're not using them. That little seat on the back is where the b1tch goes.

  • dude awesome video! thank you so much for posting it! only one question for you, i'm about 5'5 - 5'6, would i be able to ride this? like is this bike tippy toe for me being short? thanks so much for all your help! bye!

  • @supersaiyanvegeta013 ya man you should be fine on it. I have an 04 and honestly i feel that im a bit tall for it. Im 6ft but my friend stunts his 03 600rr and he is only 5-7 and he looks perfect on it.

  • @wagner03mustang Yes the problem is that if they built a bike for tall people (over 5'10") short people wouldn't buy it. They wouldn't be able to handle the bike properly. So instead they build all the supersports for a person who is 5'6" and tall people just have to deal with having really cramped up legs. I am 6' also.

  • looks better than any other 600cc out there

  • the best part about this video is how we all see the same frame for about 10 minutes and you didnt lose my attention. sexy bike :) im thinking about one of these as my first bike because i hear its the best to start on in the 600cc supersport class, what do you think?

  • So what's the maximum range?

  • @MrSniperAir Normally 170 miles, but if you take it really easy and ride around 40-60mph the whole tank you can make it about 240 miles.

  • About wheelies, that's great, because I know my 06 636 is very tough to clutch up even with the extra 37 cc's. I must mention though, I have pulled dead even in a race against this bike that was -1 in the front and me having 100% stock gearing. However such a thing can be attributed to rider rather than the bike possibly. I feel their all phenomenal machines and none of them does everything better than the other.

  • @Dennissays Well said. I have walked all over 1000cc bikes with guys that can't handle them, even in a straight line. Each bike has it's advantages and disadvantages, and it's more rider preference than a black and white "this one is better".

  • On your mention of power wheelies on this bike, that's great because I can say for a fact my 06 636 is very tough to power wheelie. Even with the power from the extra 37 cc's. Nice review.

  • you did a great review of the bike, keep it up.

this might be a long shot but is there any way you could do a review of the r6?

all the reviews out there are kinda mainstream commercial crap and i just want a review thats done by someone who's a street rider, probably not the best phrase there but i hope u get wat i mean..

    either ways, thanks man!

p.s loved the other vids too, go easy on that chic you wanted to put a dent in bro ;)

  • @hpv87 I'd love to review the R6 if I could get my hands on one. I live in Tampa now so if anyone down here wants to give their R6 up for an hour let me know :)

I've ridden them but my only friend with one lives in Wyoming.

  • I have an 03 600RR and when I crack it my power is from 10,000-15,oorpm.I can feel some power from 8-10,000 I Try to shift ( wide open no clutch) as soon as the yellow light comes on. I have dusted 750's and held my own with 900's (sport bikes). I have been riding it like that for 2 years. Aside from being tuned and a yoshi exhaust the bike is stock. As far as other 600's After I dump the clutch I don't see them.

  • the triumph daytona 675 has more HP, but the cbr has a better power to weight ratio.

  • I have no history of riding im new, but i was wondering if this is a good starter bike. I hear it isnt but i was hoping to start on this, then moving on to somting like cbr1000rr. I am mature and will treat the mechine with respect. Is this a bad idea?

  • @MrPrimoTurismo If you have rid other power toys like fast sleds dirtbikes or 4wheelers then a 600rr may be OK. If its your first power toy start a little lower or you may get hurt.

  • Great review.

  • "The fuel gauge is not accurate....it is precise."

  • @truckdrivah It isn't accurate, with 40 miles down I still have all the fuel bars, while in reality over 1/5th of my tank is gone. However, it is precise because with consistent riding, the first 1/8th bar always goes at 43 miles, the second at 70, etc.

  • dude this bike is so sick, i have an 2006 yamaha fz6 , and i am so close to thinking about trading it in for this bike

  • dude this bike is so sick, i have an 2006 yamaha fz6 , and i am so close to thinking about trading it in for this bike

  • i found in drivin honda machines that a low end power surge is kinda normal, its just the way their power band seems to work. but thats my opinion on them

  • i know exactly what you're talking about when turning in 1st gear. the power delivery is definitely weird and caught me off guard when i first experienced it. i also get to 2nd asap so that i don't have to deal with it.

  • very nice bike, but I'm not gonna get one as a first bike :)

  • i dont know what your talking when you say you can barly do a power wheely in first because i can ride that bike in first gear...comes up real easy...try giving it some gas at 7000 RPM's...nice review i also love this bike!!

  • @MastaReapa A true power wheelie isn't letting off the throttle then opening it back up. The bike does that easily, I love it! I mean if you start rolling in first gear say 7mph, then open the throttle completely without pushing down on the forks or letting up at all on the throttle, the bike barely pulls off the ground.

  • @skyline44512 even still for me i can do that...i mean wont come up right away but keep giving it alot of gas and it does come up...for me atleast

  • Could I ride this bike being 6'10?

  • @Bigtmac At 6'10 you'd be really cramped up on it. I wouldn't recommend it. However, you could manage on a dual sport like a KLR 650. Totally different style of bike but you should check it out. I can barely stand flat-footed on one and I'm 6'1"!

  • Hey man how tall are you? When I turn 18 I want to get my first SS bike. I'd rather smaller displacement bike like this, rather than a busa, but I'm afraid i'm too tall for one at a bit over 6ft and still growing.

  • @forrest225 Never mind, i heard you say in the video lol.

  • @forrest225 eh 6' or 6'1" depending on who is measuring. If you're looking for a first bike, keep looking, this really isn't it. A Ninja 250 is more than enough to learn. I would say you're not too tall for this bike unless you're over 6'4"

  • @skyline44512 It won't be my first bike, I've been riding dirtbikes since I was six or seven, right now i'm on a 250 4t, this year I turn 16 and I'm wanting to get a 450. :)

  • @forrest225 I learned on dirtbikes too, but a sportbike is a different world. I already knew how to ride, and my first bike was a Ninja 500R. It was PLENTY fast for me. I actually bought a 250R after that. Excellent bikes. I dropped the 500R twice but since it was an old crappy bike I didn't care. If I had bought the 600RR as my first bike and drop it I'd be pissed

  • good to see you making bike vids again.. bike looks great

  • i know what are you talking about

my 2006 1000rr repsol gp edition is also

really smooth and it has so much power and it brings all down to the ground
