The IPCC report has not been discredited. It is a 3000 page report. Two errors were found. In a report with some 10,000 pieces of information that is a very low error rate.
In addition, the two errors have no impact whatsoever on the main conclusion of the report.

Good for the BBC for showing the true colors of the IPCC on this stuff. The IPCC ought to know they are accountable for fraud and careless publishing of extremely questionable data. When the authors and reviewers of the report are not notified when last minute changes are made then there goes any credibility! How many times have we all heard the phrase, "but the IPCC's thousands of leading experts agree.." It's crap, only those involved in final editing are part of the consensus!
It's becoming more obvious by the day that it is not the IPCC telling policy makers but policy makers telling the IPCC.

The IPCC is therefore nothing more than a scary fiction publisher, used by governments to give the impression to the public that it's all above board, is peer reviewed, consensus, blah, blah.
I'm so glad to see that the IPCC is now being seen for the monster it really is by the main stream media.

It is these LIES that are now the very foundation for the IPCC. Since then they've had to continue LYING to cover for previous LIES. Lie after lie after lie....

If the IPCC expert recommended Roger and miscommunication occurred, then yes that is a slip up.
But this BBC interview looks like whining.
The IPCC may have overlooked or more to the point, decided not to use this political scientist's expert opinion.
But so what? Why is this a problem?
If Roger is playing the role of the Honest Broker, then this action can be expected and is perfectly acceptable ( I read his book "Honest Broker").

The best defence the IPCC has is to be accurate and report the science truthfully.
There is no better defence than that.
But the IPCC has never, and will never do that,
it is a political organisation,
not a scientific one - period.
