COOL THERES ONLY 1 SRV AND COMPARED TO HIM I AM NOBODY AS IS NEARLY EVERY OTHER ROCK GUITARIST OUT THERE WE CAN ONLY HOPE TO LIVE UP TO THIS MANS LEGACY BUT HES ONE FUCKING HARD ACT TO TRY TO MATCH HE WAS THE BEST BLUES PLAYER FORGET CLAPTON THIS GUY OWNS HIM ANYDAY
yes Ive always wondered what Stevie and DT might have made of the Hey hey -dont think they were really appreciated at the time either and the usual silly Hey Hey comments superimposed over Stevie dont help either . . The guitar playing ended up sounding rather muffled sadly-still great to see this though especially now every video of Stevie is so precious -thanks for posting .
EXCELLENT!!! I've been looking for this one. I saw this when it first aired on hey hey its saturday...it blew my mind then & now! Unfortunately didn't see them on that tour but was lucky enough to see them on their 2nd (& last) australian tour when they had reese playing with em & the fabulous thunderbirds opened the show! Appreciate the post...
@rarch1968 That's right. And they also made a second appearance on Hey Hey It's Saturday for that tour. When Darryl introduces the band, they push their way past a stage curtain, grab the instruments and rip into it.They play at floor level, much closer to the audience. When they finish the number[can't remember which song],they say nothing and disappear off. They cut back to Darryl and he has his fingers in his ears, saying,"SO LOUD".Hope someone can find that performance in the archives and post it up
It started out as a Saturday morning children's show .. and over the years became more and more popular .. ending up on prime time. The show was a great promoter of local and overseas music .. everybody who was anybody appeared on it.
This clip always confused me..what the hell kind of TV show was it that has a goofy personality guy and a giant chicken as hosts..and why was Stevie on it?
Smashed it !!!!!
The bit at the end freaked me the fuck out
