  • ...and the brain slows down the heart rate. Assuming then that the strike doesn't knock the person out (which is likely) you are now fighting a man who is not receiving enough oxygenated blood to his brain/vital organs. For all intents and purposes you've tranquilised him, and he's likely to pass out pretty soon. This is why I love this target; whether it hurts or not is irrelevant, as once I deprive him of oxygenated blood he's gonna have a hard time staying awake, never mind hurting me. Done!

  • As SomethingAboutJesse asked, when you hit the side of the neck you'll:

    - Disrupt the blood flow to the brain via the Carotid Artery

    - Disturb the blood flow to the heart through the Jugular Vein

    - Send spike signals through the Vagus and Phrenic nerves

    - Disrput or destroy the person's balance by moving the cervical vertebrae, which is likely to effect at least the thoracic vertebrae in turn.

The nerves send a signal to the brain that a spike in blood pressure has occured.... (tbc).....

  • very smooth! congrats!!

  • talk about vagus nerve stimulation

  • Good practice.

  • no it will not, only knock you out momentarily

  • @redagent It can kill if not done properly.

  • @shadowr434 You mean if done properly.

  • @theceterus I thought this was a disabling move,not a killing move.

  • cant hitting the vagus nerve cause the heart to slow or even stop?

  • Yes, it will kill you pretty quick.
