@ricardoshark18 no, its marlene detriech tribute since this tour was partly inspired my maurice chavalier. at the time she said she changed the song cos its the one song people really identify her with so she changed it to to reinvent herself thru it. hence the drastic overhaul for blond ambition too.

this is creative genius, how come her film roles were never this complex? it's not just dietch parody/impersonation. we get madonna the fearless pop chameleon who captures then USURPS the dietrich persona. what a kick in the rear (for marlene!) there are 3~4 russian dolls on gender-bending here, & the ultimate triumph of "you just can't pin down madonna - not on only 80s-LAV, or her predecessors' launching pad"...etc
