If I heard right, the Premier stated that the reason for the increase in greenslips was due to the injuries a motorcycle rider would suffer in a crash. What a load of bollocks! The greenslip sceme or scam as I see it for NSW, is ment to cover others of injuries, not the actual rider. The fine print on all green slip policy's dont cover any motorcycle rider what so ever if they are the at fault party in a crash.

So in short, your statement in this video is completely invalid, and WRONG!

I am quite surprised at the Premiers dogmatic reply. 250's up $180, 750's up $60, 1000's up $160 Busa's and Harley's up $220. Those that went down? 600's about $100, scooters down $6. 5 minutes on the MAA Calculator will show the error in her figures. To put it into perspective, VTR1000 $667, Nisan Patrol 2.5 tonne 7 seater $650.

Granted, motor cycle riders are at greater risk, however, teach the idiots that drive cars (who don't ride) to watch where they are going. I have almost been wiped out by many a car driver, never a rider on a motor cycle rider. And why should the motor cycle rider pay for that.

And if, as the government say, it is for the ongoing medical care of the motor cycle riders after an accident, well I don't wnat to be the one to test that theory. But I will guarantee it won't becasue the insurance company will have so many stipulations on what and how things can be claimed. This is for the profits of the insurance companies, watch their financial figures at the end of the next financial year. Let us see what their profits end up being.

WHAT BS! "Prices increased to reflect heavier bikes on the road and the implications and costs of accidents"? What about trail bike riders who do not use the roads, who ride in state forsests and designated areas, who hardly ever see a vehicle in their path? Why have the CTP prices for these riders under the old 300cc limit increased by nearly 84%. Why do they infact need full ADR and registration? Oh thats right another cash grab. The NSW Gov should be encouraging motorcycle and scooter riders in this time of enviromental awareness and concerns regarding the future of world wide oil supply and oil prices. Motorcycles and scooters use less of everything and leave a smaller carbon footprint. Notice that the Green Party are always very quiet about motorcycles and scooters...why aren't they out there encouraging two wheeled motorised transport? Australia needs to become more European with its outlook on motorcycles.

Keneally is just quoting info she's got from the MAA and the Greedslip companies.

For every bike owner whose Greedslip went down in price it went up for two more.

So in reality the riders saving a few bucks are just having their cheaper greedslip paid for by the riders who are paying up to 84% more.

It's just a massive con by the greedslip companies most obviously targeting 250cc bike owners who make up a large percentage of NSW registered motorcycle owners.
