It's the beauty and the beast again... and the sooner we explore and find out what works for us the better we are. You know I started the journey eating about 5 to 6 xs a day due to food + med/vitamins now I lean closer to 3 a day... but again...some here lately is forced food/meals. I think this too shall pass... lol
I don't have a set amount of meals per day that I stick to. Usually it's anywhere between 4 and 6 depending on the calories. I still have days where I can barely eat 2 meals. This also allows me more options as far as if I happen to mess up by eating a cupcake, my meals are small enough that I can easily adjust them around the mistake. :) Do what works best for you!
My surgeon says if your not hungery don't eat. You can do 2 meals if you want. Having only 2 meals now and then is ok. If you do it a lot then you can add a protien shake or bar if you think you are not getting enough protein. But what your describing sounds like you might be a little tight. You might want to talk to you surgeon about it. I also think that breaking up a measured meal into 2 sittings is ok as long as your not eating more due to the second sitting.
I like all of your advice...........would be interested in your thoughts on the newer info in Dr OBrien's 8 golden rules videos............especially do we need to eat and the whole water deal and drinking with meals.............
I think how many meals a day you eat is something that depends on the individual. For Kacy remember that without a fill you are going to be hungry between meals and snacking within your daily limits is pretty much a necessity. I'm going through the same thing myself being that my fill level is very small - also having come from a very long complete unfill. There is no hard and fast rule in my mind. You do what works for you.
I haven't had the lapband surgery, but I'm on the jackie warner plan. I do five small meals a day and it really helps me with my hunger issues cause with the small meals. I used to be one of the people that skip meals, and when dinner came along I would everything I could. So the five small meals a day really works for me :D
