That does not give the Cuban government the right to spy on any government or to repress dissidents, imprison political opposition, etc. The two things are not related at all. If the Cuban government was so concerned about people wrongly imprisoned, they should start with the dozens of political prisoners in their jails, some of them in there for the simple act of writing a document denouncing the lack of freedom in Cuba. Posada-Carriles and Bosch deserve to go to jail for the rest of their live. No doubt about that. That does not give the Cuban government the right to spy on any government or to repress dissidents, imprison political opposition, etc. The two things are not related at all. And you didn't answer my question: what would happen if five Americans are caught spying in Cuba? I think is pretty clear who the ignorant here is.

If the Cuban government was so concerned about people wrongly imprisoned, they should start with the dozens of political prisoners in their jails, some of them in there for the simple act of writing a document denouncing the lack of freedom in Cuba. Others, more outrageously, are there simply for speaking their minds. That's what the Cuban government, Danny Glover, and you should be talking about. At least in America, you can publically sympathize with these prisoners

This is not about race. Your racist comments give his argument a validity that it does not have. People that oppose Castro and want democracy in Cuba are not racist, not particularly right wing, not even necessarily anti-socialist. If the Castro government cared about people unjustly in jail, they should start by releasing the hundreds of political prisoners and journalists in their jails.

I support any action against communists whether sanctioned or unsanctioned by the United States. Take it from a person who fought directly against Communists in Africa. Thank you Danny Glover for speaking out for the 5. They have become my heros several years ago when I went to Cuba myself and met some of their family members and friends and their stories brought so many questions about our own government and the Cuban government. I always believe the 5's story is so untrue because there was never a reason to put the 5 in jail, when people who have acted violent towards Cuba are walking free in Miami.

I find Danny's comments hilarious! What I cannot understand, however, is that so many people take him seriously. He is, after all, first and foremost a stand-up comedian (albeit not a very good one). Comedians don't really need to know anything about history or politics, as Glover has demonstrated often enough in the past. In fact, in Glover's own case, he seems hellbent on demonstrating that comics like himself don't need to know anything about anything at all. He succeeds wonderfully!
