Demetrius Williams is the future reciever of the team too. He is already playing at a high level, and is speedy, athletic, agile, and tall. Beat Texas with true freshman starting in his first game (not counting the North Texas game), play Texas at END of that year and lose.

52 day layoff and media hype will sometimes tend to make you overconfident and lose your only game of the season. TS was 15 pounds overweight NC title game. Mr. No name team fan( who was your team again?), OSU was the only team to actually contain VY in 2005. Played better against him than USC. Mccoy was a redshirt Freshman (2nd year in the program). They had almost their entire team back minus VY in 2006. TS is gone and OSU #7. I guess some teams reload others rebuild.

OSU beat Illini like a drum 3 years ago, 42-3, last year 17-10...and they got some breaks and won this year. Big deal. They will be prime target #1 last year. Top5 recruiting class, and host of other players that will injured should make the next game easy.

hey i'm a die hard buckeye fan and troy smith is the best buckeye qb i've ever seen. Brady Quin was good in college, but troy was so much better. The heisman kinda shows that. Especially since he won with the biggest margin of victory ever in heisman voting.

Just cause someone wins the Heismann doesn't mean that its going to translate into a successful NFL career. Considering the fact that the Big 10 were EXTREMELY OVERRATED, and were outdone by teams in the much better Pac 10 and SEC with relative ease. Troy Smith wasn't facing the best in the country until he got to the BCS Bowl, and was shown what a top calibur team is made of.

All I have 2 say is that the Ravens got one of the biggests steals of the draft. If u don't agree then u probably never watched Troy Smith consistently...The only game that I really saw him falter was the National Championship. All I can say is that they didn't look anything like their usual self....Having to wait about 2 months 2 play a game had plenty 2 do with it. They still lost though which is the reality. Troy Smith will be a top quarterback in the NFl in about 2 years.

Why do you say Florida wasnt as good? Thats what everyone said before the game... Look put OSU in the SEC every week and let them take the weekly beating that is the SEC and maybe they dont come in undefeated (probably not) Anyway... I just dont see why everyone said Florida was not as good.. You did see the defense right? OSU saw nothing close to that all year long... 51 days was not a factor!

and to answer the question to drew, its b/c having 50 days off and then having to go play against a fresh team shows, everybody sucked not just troy, his line couldnt hold them back, the defense was slow. and since gin wasnt there to take the attention away from roy hall, robiske and gonzalez, they couldnt get troy going, anyone who watched that game knows ohio looked so weird. they were not themselves.
