  • SHUT UP ALL OF YOU!!!! HAHAHA

    SALVADOR SANCHEZ IS THE GREATEST!!!

  • Chavez, Ricardo Lopez, Sal Sanchez, Ruben Olivares, Zarrate, Humberto Gonzalez, Barrera, Morrales, Marquez...More than 170 world champions.. Question is why has the land of the Azteca contributed so much to the bloodsport? What sets us apart?

  • @BoKnows1978 It's because the lifetime President of the Wetbacks Boxing Council (WBC) is Mexican. Those 170 champions of your's actually have no quality. Most of them have ZERO title defense. Most with multiple defense defended their titles against bums or tomato cans. They were exposed when pitted against top P4P fighters.

  • @101ers77 Oh is that why? Your a coward. That same president of the WBC had predicted a Paq victory this weekend by ko, and said he was surprised by Marquez performance. So hes biased right? Your a dip shit. I guess Marq was exposed by a P4P fighter this weekend..No quality? Your an idiot.

  • @BoKnows1978 Panama has less better quality fighters than Mexico. They have less but it's because Mexicans are always favored and given breaks by the WBC. Another thing is, Mexican champs are midget killers. They ca't fight fighters their size and weight. You have champs like Margarito and Chavez Jr. who are light heavyweight but fight welters, Canto & Moralles who are welterweights who fights bantams and feather, Featherweight Finito Lopez who fight strawweights. Ultimate midget killers.

  • @101ers77 Your first comment says it all..Your obviously dont know shit, just stop replying. Your an idiot. The great Finito was not a featherweight ever. You have shit for brains.. JC Chavez, P4P king for 13 yrs strait... nuff said

  • @BoKnows1978 LOL!!! P4P king for 13 years? FUCK YOU!! stop twisting boxing history! He was undefeated in his first 13 years as a boxer not P4P king for 13 years. It's because he fought mostly Mexican cab drivers. Go ask Greg Haugen.

  • @101ers77 My mistake on typo, so your not stupid, just ignorant.. Was Haugen one of the P4P listed fighters that exposed.. oh, ..wait.

  • @101ers77 He must have been a midget, this Haugen.

  • @BoKnows1978 yeah! Aside from cab drivers, Chavez Sr. also fought midgets. Very Mexican.

  • @101ers77 100% Mexican, dont you forget it. Stop replying. Your an idiot

  • @101ers77 WOW...Your a brit???Really your talking shit about mexican boxers?

Dude theres no words for your stupidity.Mexico is ranked #1 in boxing with over 200 world champions already you fucking.Antonio de marco made mexico reach 200 this past october.Mexico also has 19 current champions.Mexicans dominate the sprot.and chavez jr isnt a light heavyweigh you fucking dipshit.Hes a middle weight.Chavez was the best bottom line. And he was better than duran.Your Just JELOUS Of Us.HAHAHAHAH

  • @1AztecaBoxing Lol! Another one of your typical over-rated, no defense, Sulayman sponsored Wetback fighters! Watch him lose his title on his very first defense.

  • Robertos duran's dad was Mexican

  • Ricardo "El Finito" Lopez the best Mexican boxer of all time

  • @Unam469 He was a featherweight who fought straw weights. Can't fight men his size.

  • @Unam469 The best midget killer of all time. Didn't fight in the heavier divisions to avoid fighters his size and weight.

  • @buddaphy on a more inteligent note. Chavez i rate 1, badass Duran 2,Sanchez 3, Hagler and duran are still my top choices as far as badass mean mugs. Sugar ray fought like a bitch and never liked his running style like Mayweather. Hagler was the Black Aztec, vicious and defined what a black boxer was and should be. Balls of gold that Black Badass MuthaFka. Peace brudda.

  • North of mexico is Chichimecas who did not succumb to the Espanoles. Chavez is from Culiacan northwest Mexico.

  • @Superpanama507 Duran is mexican from his dads side he was a marinero that was stationed in Panama! Mexican blood is what made him good.

  • this nigga is such a fuckin IDIOT! Dura is not fuckin mexican u fuck. he's Panamanian! i hate it wen stupid people say all hispanics are mexicans. STFU!

  • SALVADOR SANCHEZ was the best figther in mexico look him up!!

  • FUCK RECORDS.... THAT CAN BE JUST A SHIT LOAD OF BUMS!!!!! THE GREATEST IS,WAS AND WILL BE.... SALVADOR SANCHEZ.... REST IN PARADISE CHAMP!!!

  • Jamaican boxers are ok for them only having 2.5 million.

  • i agree with you Julio Cesar Chavez was The Best Mexican Fighter My Godfather and Me (us being mexican family) had this discusion the other day nd we both agred on chavez who had 87 knockouts in his life and the best part of his carrer was when he shut up Camacho and secondly i dont regard duran as a heavy mexican fighter i would consider him more of a panama fighter he but he was a great fighter

  • they were both great fighters, panama vs mexico is stupid, who cares we are both the same people...borders dont mean shit, those were imposed by white europeans...yes we are a new stronger breed of indigenous/european/african blood line....mi gente

  • @alfredoguerrero You are not Europeans. You are actually descendants of Siberian Mongols. Later they were mixed with Spanish outcasts who are actually Moors, Arabs, Gypsies (Dravidians) and Pakistanis. So Mexicans are actually either Gooks, Mongols, Moors, Sand NIggers and most specially Pakis. So don't ever wonder why watching a boxing match in Mexico seems like watching a boxing match in China, India, Pakistan or Arabia.

  • @101ers77 you sir are lost...

  • Duran aint mexican. And roger i believe said Who was the best latin fighter of all time. Duran was dope. Best mexican fighter of all time to me was Erik Morales Like you i grew up watching erik morales. and i had family in tijuana so i followed him big time.

  • lol why da fuck are mexicans claiming duran? duran was born raised and made in panama. he didnt even know his father, he father was a typical mexican machista who breeds babies and walks away..... duran ia panamanian not mexican accept it. there is no such thing as a mexican dna, mexico is not a race its just a nationality. so therefore you can't say he was a goood boxer cuz he was half mexican lol. dats ike kenyans sayin obamas a good leader cuz his half kenyan

  • @FullSwagSyceGame507 all mexicans have aztec blood in them one way or another so thats where duran got his warrior spirit from unfortunaltly he got his quiter side from panama who is know to be cowards...

  • @Cuauhtli47 umm u stupid piece of shit. do u not know there are hundreds of other tribes in mexico besides the aztec which were majority at war with them. so that debunks your all Mexicans have Aztec blood in them theory. 2ndly are the Aztecs not the ones who got defeated by da Spanish quick ashit? where da fuck are da aztecs and where are our native indians in panama? o yea their still here and health because they SURVIVED da violence, racism and diseases unlike da fag ass Aztecs.

  • @FullSwagSyceGame507 calm down panama is known to be cowards who's never won a war in history so dont get butt hurt for telling the truth and yes theres Aztecs still in Mexico who reside in Guerrero,Chiapas and Hidalgo...

  • @Cuauhtli47 what war? the only wars we had was with costa rica which whom we defeated. and fuck dem, dey will die off soon i promise, our indians haven't lost any of their culture. btw who did mexico defeat? lol i'm curious, plz let me know sir

  • @FullSwagSyceGame507 the aztec is a big part of the Mexican culture where you think the food came from the spaniards?? and Mexico has defeated the French in Puebla known as the most powerful military in the world at the time and Spain also a great military not to mention our revolutionary wars participation in WW2 in the leberation of the Philippines who we helped become independent from Spain aswell

  • @FullSwagSyceGame507 he's half.

  • @Rodriguer2000 lol did you completely ignore everything i just said lol

  • @FullSwagSyceGame507 He's half.

  • @Rodriguer2000 born and raised in chorillo panama, has the panamanian accent, and never claims his mexican half. that "half" dont mean shit,

  • @paul33569 He's half.

  • @FullSwagSyceGame507 interesting.......can you name another panamanian elite boxer of that caliber ?

  • @enigma181886 can you explain the purpose of your question b4 i answer it?

  • who cares??? Duran is half mexican!!!! Yeap duran father was mexican!!!! Thats way he was a good figther!!! So whats the deal..

  • duran was not mexican he was from panama

  • @felixvideozz duran's father was mexican

  • duran was half mexican??? what??!!

  • duran was half mexican??? what??

  • Duran was half Mexican, so technially he was the best Mexican fighter to me, but best Mexican fighter to come out of Mexico is Chavez.

  • mmm as you said Chavez is the best boxer out of mexico but between Chavez and Duran you decided Chavez for the amount of fights, Duran finished his career with more fights than Chavez, if you can do a video that explains better your choice would be good, because I beleive that if the majority of the press thinks Duran is best than Chavez you have to make a very good point to decide for Chavez.... think about it...

  • lol then u must not knw much about boxing!

  • @Mileniun2007 De que hablas...mismo Duran dijo que el tiene sangre Mexicana y que es orgullos por eso...todos sabemos que el representa a Panama...pero el nunca a negado su sangre Mexicana...

  • Roberto Duran is Panamanian but close enough! LOL! I like how you explain boxing. Your not biased. You are a great critic. and thats because i criticize critics But you are legit bro! I can tell you actually watch and study boxing. Thumbs up Bro. I agree i think Chavez is the best mexican fighter of all time but i think Salvador Sanchez could have been better died at a young age. At 89-0-1 before his first loss I think he has all the bragging rights for best fighter EVER! CHAVEZ that is!

  • not taking anything away from Sal Sanchez though; but the best Latino fighter didn't die in a car crash & certainly WASN'T Chavez? it was Roberto Duran! he was in a class by himself. Monzon was another that needs to be mentioned alongside Duran. Now those 2 were the Latin-American standouts.

  • Duran is actually half Mexican and he's said that he's proud of that fact. he obviously represented Panama first because that's where he was born and raised but he's also said that he's proud to represent and have the support of both the Panamanian and Mexican people.

  • roberto duran is not mexican

  • Duran was born and raised in Panama . His dad was a Mexican sailor who left him when he was a year old, he never knew his dad.He was half mexican by default

  • why would roger mayweather say roberto duran is the best mexican fighter when hes from panama. dont get me wrong i wish he was mexican i have a ton of respect for that man because he is one badass motherfucker

  • @ewonvel88 he is mexican his dad was mexican or something like that or his mom but he represented panama because he was born there

  • @subcomandante23 WOW, I actually didnt know that thanks for the info man.

  • @subcomandante23 no. duran was born and raised in panama, his mother was panamanian and his father was mexican. his father left him when he was 1. duran is only HALF mexican by genes. his cultrue, mindset, and ect is 100% PANAMANIAN

  • Salvador Sanchez #1 from Mexico,at 23 yrs and younger he KO 3 legends of boxing,he moved up in weight and whupped Champion Danny Lopez 2 times who is rated 26 in RING magz hardest punchers. Salvador also KO Puerto Ricos great Wilfredo Gomez who had a 99% KO ratio. And in his last fight he fought and KO an little known but great warrior Azumah Nelson who was/is Africas greatest fighter ever.RIP Campeon we still miss u.

  • THE MEXICAN STYLE IS TOUGH CHIN,HEART & MOVE FOWARD

  • I think Ricard "El Finito "LOpez needs to be taken into consideration as well

  • Not only do I rank Chavez the best mexican fighter of all time but the best pound for pound boxer ever. No one was as exciting as Chavez. I rank him a few spots above Roberto. But back to Chavez, dude who goes 90 fights undefeated? and 86 by knockout. Haha to me thats better than any championship belt. He has the longest undefeated record of any boxer ever. His ability to eat punches and then dish them out as though it was nothing was freaking amazing. He is definitly the best boxer ever.

  • @BIGDADDYDUKE2 your delusional! how does it feel to be all alone in with that biased assessment? have you read Ring Magazine or listed to boxing experts, fighters & analysts? they all wholeheartedly disagree with U! his ability to eat punches? hope your NOT insinuating Chavez had a better chin than Duran? LOL! See the DVD Latin Legends Champions Forever; Chavez himself on camera states who the Best really was: "Duran IMO has been the most aggressive and the BEST of all Latin fighters" JC Chavez.

  • @judaschongo judging by all your comments your definitly in favor of duran. Duran was good but he didn't have the heart, nor the skills chavez did. He didn't go 90 fights undefeated, he didn't have 86 of them by knockout. He tried to acomplish what chavez did, but lost a some fights in the process of doing it. Duran was probably the more agressive fighter, but he couldn't take chavez, I say chavez would have knocked him out late in the fight. Duran was good, chavez was amazing.

  • @BIGDADDYDUKE2 I can't believe you actually believe that? that record you tout so much is so overrated. Didn't do what Chavez did? you're right Duran moved on to bigger & better things risking it all well into his 30's and achieving incomparable greatness. Do you even know boxing history? Chavez didn't even debut in 1 of the original 8 weight divisions? opting for a jr/super division instead? unlike the real & superior Champions of that era: Olivares, Arguello, Sanchez & most definitely Duran.

  • @judaschongo "I can't blieve you actually believe that" isn' a question its a statement. And greatness doesn't come from moving up in weight class which chavez did, you forgot to mention because your to busy crawling up Durans ***. But greatness comes from skills. Chavez had knockout power in both hands, he was quick, smart, and had great endurance and further more he had way more heart. Duran is a little chavez. Chavez never gave up, even as an old man he was going after the best.

  • @BIGDADDYDUKE2 how could you believe your own statement? so according to you it should be Chavez ranked #5 by Ring Magazine & not Duran? you don't know anything about boxing if you call Chavez quick & with KO power in both hands? why even waste my time? Chavez was a flat-footed brawler who broke people down to the body, with above average power in both hands. Not this devastating KO artist you make him out to be?

as for having way more heart? your an IDIOT! if you really believe that?

  • @judaschongo Dude put question marks where they belong! If you really believe that isn't even a sentence. Look if your not american you might as well quit speaking english man. Okay so people have their opinions... ooo. Chavez was a quick puncher... yes he had a little bit of speed to him. And 86 knockouts out of his first 90 fights, and he doesn't have knockout power. Ha that makes sense. Dude thats an oxymoron. And yes wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more heart than Duran. Not once did chavez...

  • @BIGDADDYDUKE2 people have their opinions? how about professionals, analysts & peers alike? overwhelmingly ranking Duran at the top of the Lightweight list!

the 86 KO's? many of those were TKO's!

what oxymoron? the man wasn't a KO artist at all, more of a pressure break-down brawler, and his competition was mediocre to sub par. Chill out with the inapplicable hyperbole's!

Chavez quit vs DelaHoya! you must of forgotten huh?

the only question mark is permanently floating above your head!?

  • @judaschongo quit a fight. Duran did. He wasn't as good as you make him out to be. Chavez would most definitly over whelm Duran with his KNOCKOUT power, and his ability to eat punches like their nothing. Duran would then be discouraged and quit the fight. Or continue and lose a not close at all split descision or knockout or TKO in the late rounds.

  • @BIGDADDYDUKE2 you got an extra chromosome somewhere!

  • @judaschongo Oh so because they are "analyst" and what not that makes everything they say true. And are you kidding me? Chavez faugh mediocre fighters? Wow so Roger maywhether, Hector Camacho, Meldrick Taylor, Jose Luis Ramirez, Pernell Whitaker. Hmm Ya I'd say they all sucked. Dude Chavez only went after the best. And ya your right I over looked his De la Hoya fight. He was an old man being out classed but thats nothing compared to Duran quiting his fight with Sugar Ray Leonard.

  • @BIGDADDYDUKE2 actually YES that's exactly what I'm saying! Mayweather definitely SUCKED! that whole family is so overrated. Camacho? good chin took a beating but had absolutely NO punch whatsoever. Taylor? talented boxer; but come on, you know damn well the word "great" gets thrown around loosely these days(same way U abuse it). Ramirez?? don't make me laugh! and now the Whitaker debate? so just because he draws(more like defeats) JCC he's great too? too soft, too underpowered!

  • @BIGDADDYDUKE2 didn't have the heart? are you mental? let me guess your referring to the "no mas" fight? how predictable! how about Chavez quitting on his stool vs DelaHoya? or the Randall rematch? how you consider this man amazing is beyond me.

Chavez knock out Duran?? did you have a lobotomy? let me get this straight Chavez is gonna do what Palomino, Leonard, Benitez, Cuevas, Moore, Hagler & Barkely couldn't do? you need help, serious counseling.

  • @BIGDADDYDUKE2 Brov, I became a boxing fan because of Chavez after watching his fight with Rosario. Text book genius. But Chavez wouldn't have a prayer against Duran. Duran moved from 135 to 160 and at 38 won the middleweight belt winning 4 belts in 4 divisions. Chavez moved to 147 and lost against Whitaker (not draw). Duran was faster. sharper and more cunning that Chavez. Duran could box & he could punch & he was the bigger guy. At lightweight, I see a 15 round decision: 145-140 Duran.

Probablemente me noquear!

  • Roberto Duran's father was Mexican....

  • @MrChiRockk wtf does dat have to do with shit? his dad left him when he was one years old and duran was born and raised in panama, with panama culture and mindset.

  • the most complete fither after robinson and ali is sal sanchez . . .

ruben olivares the most technician after sanchez

chavez in his prime is unbeatable

    and roberto duran ..

  • hey body banger, i personally think that the best mexican fighter of all times was SALVADOR SANCHEZ, i'd like to see what you think about that

  • do u know durans father was mexican. if u dont look it up n get back 2 me.

  • Duran is from Panama man. What are you talking about? Do you know about boxing? How can you say all that BS and you don't even know fron where is Roberto Duran... U are funny man....read or learn a little bit more about boxing

  • Yo, Do you know about boxing? Duran is not Mexican, He is Panamanian...The greatest latin american boxer...Learn about the sport before you talk.....S...t talker....It's funny...

  • Well, if you read about Duran you'll know that his father Margarito Duran was Mexican. He was in the military and stationed in Panama where he met Duran's mother.

  • @jamdowner wtf does dat have to do with shit? he left him when he was one years old and duran was born and raised in panama, with panama culture and mindset. he is panamanian point blank period.

  • @FullSwagSyceGame507 Mister, I don't know you & you don't know me. You wouldn't talk to anyone like this face to face for the first time & you've the audacity to curse and swear. I've been taught to have respect for people.

Yes, he's Panamanian. I agree. I'm saying genetically he's half-Mexican. I'm British but my dad's Jamaican. I don't have a Jamaican mindset but a British one yet I can't help the fact genetically speaking I'm 50% Jamaican. Have a good day!

  • @jamdowner come on don't get in your feelings, its just youtube. and excuse me but where i'm from its not found offensive when you talk like dis when its sports related. CHILL. btw you still havn't proven anything with that. i really don't think its fair the his mexican side gets acknowledged for ne thing that has to do with his boxing career. its giving mexicans reasosn to claim him and in a way take away from panama. i know this isn't true for anyone but there are many idiots who would out der

  • @FullSwagSyceGame507 Okay dude. I'll take a chill pill. You said I've not proven anything. What is there to prove? His genes are 50% Mexican. That's the proof. Do a blood test. Check his DNA. You can't create an argument of opinions when that is the fact! Thomas Hearns is black! Beyonce is a woman! Old yeller is a dog! How can I prove that with an argument? It doesn't take away anything from him being Panamanian. It's just an interesting SIDE note to his life. A side note very few know about.

  • chavez 1#

  • Carlos Manzon also a top 3 Latino fighters

  • isnt duran Panameno

  • there is no doubt that chavez was a great fighter and probably the second best fighter of all time out of mexico, but the best of all time even though his career was cut short due to his death, was flat out salvador sanchez, he might even be in the top five fighters of all time in the history of boxing.

  • Im a fan of chavez bro...

this guy had great fights against ROSARIO, TAYLOR, RAMIREZ,CAMACHO,RANDALL and we cant forget WHITAKER.

this guy is the definition of mexican boxing..

this guy had beautiful uppercuts, the best hook to the body that ive ever seen and tremoundous amount of heart and will!...

in my opinion hes the number 1 hispanic boxer of all times....

    quick question buddhaphy....

Prime Chavez VS Pacquiao!?!?!..who would u choose and why?

  • pac will win against chavez...he's quicker, and punches a lot harder... other quick fighters he beat couldn't hurt him.. but if pac hits him the way taylor and whitaker did, i think he'd be KO'd...taylor and whitaker would've given pacquiao more problems...

  • Comment removed

  • Well of the start duran was not mexican but he was lol..his father was mexican and his mother was from panama(look it up). But Chavez was the best mexican fighter period. Duran was the best from panama. The best latino fighter.....it is a tough decision. Duran faught the greats. Hagler, leonard, and hearns. He ended up with a record against them of 1-3-0. Chavez had 20 something championship fights(or more..) and still came up on top. I think the best latino boxer award goes to chavez.

  • Why is it that someone whose parents are from Mexico but are born in the USA can be seen as Mexican e.g., Oscar de la Hoya, Fernando Vargas, Juan Diaz, etc but someone who is born in Panama of Mexican descent can't be Mexican?

  • You're comparing Chavez staying in his division & Duran out of it. If the once he strayed out junior welter Whitker rang rings around him what would Hagler, Hearns & Leonard do? Would he be 1-3-0?

Alex Stewart kayoed his 1st 24 while Tyson was 22 kayoes out of 24. Is Stewart a better puncher than Tyson? Tyson was 37-0 when he lost. Nicolai Valuev was 46-0. Was Valuev a better fighter than Tyson?

Compare Chavez' generation with Duran. If Chavez moved up would he beat Whitaker, Norris & Hopkins?

  • @jamdowner Hagler and Hearns were 30 and 19 pounds heavier than Chavez. What would Hagler and Hearns do if they fought a Chavez who was naturally 30 and 19 pounds heavier? Think out of the box!

  • @TheMexHurricane I have no idea what you mean. Do you mean that they would underestimate him? Would they attack him from the getgo? Would Hearns be content to outbox him? Would it be any different from what they did to a naturally smaller man in Roberto Duran?

  • @jamdowner You asked what Hagler would do to Chavez. That's a biased comparison that favors Hagler because he was 30 lbs heavier. To emphasize how illogical your comparison was I asked you to compare Hagler with a Chavez who was naturally 60 lbs heavier to make him the same size bigger than Hagler.

  • @TheMexHurricane A 135lb Duran moved up to middleweight 3 years later & lost by a point to Hagler. Duran didn't weigh 135 when he fought Hagler. He weighed 156lbs. He didn't just jump from 135 to 160 but did it over 3 years.

Somehow you failed to logically follow the same trail of thought. I'm not saying a 135 Chavez would lose to a 160 Hagler. I'm saying a 160 Chavez slowly moving up to middle for 3 years like Duran would lose to Hagler. I'm even saying a 147 chavez would lose to Leonard.

  • @jamdowner Duran didn't weigh 135 when he fought Hagler and his DNA didn't change either. He was still the naturally much smaller man. Objective people take that into account when comparing their greatness that's why Duran is rated as a greater fighter than Hagler and Leonard by everyone(by Ring magazine for example). You mentioned Chavez fighting Hagler-- I simply asked you to imagine a Chavez with the same ability who weighed 60 lbs more fighting Hagler to put all into perspective.

  • @jamdowner Do you realize how much harder Duran would hit and how much tougher he'd be and how much taller and how much longer his reach would be if he was naturally 30 lbs heavier than Hagler? Hagler could barely handle the guy as it was. Same thing for Chavez. Think out of the box.

  • @TheMexHurricane "Think out of the box". It seems you think you're a deep guy. I'm being practical. Forget if Duran or Chavez was naturally 30lbs heavier. Why not say, what if Tyson was naturally 80lbs lighter and then became 220 would he be able to defeat Spinks, Berbick and Holmes? No!

Practically speaking, if the natural Chavez gained 25lbs like Duran did he would not have held his own against Hagler like Duran did. Full Stop! His limit was 140 whereas Duran was 160. Think logically!

  • @jamdowner I think I'm deep? Pay very close attention-- just ask me to commit to this dialogue and I will show you how shallow your mind is compared to mine and how you don't think out of the box. Just ask. You made a judgement and stated that because Whitaker ran rings around Chavez--we should imagine what Hagler would do. I imagine Hagler wouldn't run and he'd win and dominate, but not to the degree that you implied with the bad logic you used.

  • @TheMexHurricane I agree that Duran was the smalelr man when he fought Hagler. There is no question. Duran would always be his best at 135lb just like Chavez was at his best at 135-140lb. What I'm speaking of is effectiveness when moving up in a weight that is outside your best. Michael Moorer who was a monster at light heavyweight was still comfortable at heavyweight yet there have been many great lightheavyweights who were never comfortable at heavyweight like Bob Foster & even Michael Spinks.

  • @TheMexHurricane In regards to being 'pound for pound' that's another story. We know the idea behind that is if they were naturally all equal then the guy on top would be the guy who'd beat everyone else. I gather this is what you mean. If Chavez was a natural middleweight I do believe he'd have beaten Hagler. No question. Had Duran been a natural middleweight I do believe he'd have whipped Hagler. No question! But I'm not looking on it like that but what Chavez and Duran BOTH actually did.

  • @jamdowner It's another story but I'm still allowed to make that point. That's all I was doing. I did it because people make judgements when comparing the talent of 2 fighters without taking everything into account.

  • You know nothing about Duran. His genius escapes a cunt like you.

  • and they stole the fight from meldrick taylor

  • first of all Duran is a Panamanian fighter chavez is the best mexican fighter but thats of his time see the sport of boxing like any other sport goes thru the change or evolution cause of fighter like barerra and marquez and now up and coming guys

like montial an so on an so far still doesnt take away of how many fight he had but how many ko's he got compared to desicion and the competition of fight so i agree he is the best mexican fighter of his tme but thats all

  • @Princessbesst Duran's father was Mexican.

  • @TheMexHurricane wtf does dat have to do with shit? his dad left him when he was one years old and duran was born and raised in panama, with panama culture and mindset.

  • salvador sanchez es el numero 1

  • its a shame that julio secar chaves never got the credit he deserved

  • salvador sanchez is the best mexican boxer that ever lived!! a true champion!! he accomplished a lot at a very young age!! salvador sanchez is a legend!!! one of the top 5 fighters in boxing history!!

  • julio ceasar chavez!!! the Man the Legendary nobody until this day cant beat his record!!

  • That was directed at that bitch mexican slugger

  • roger mayweather just talking smack just cuse chavez ntfo him two times.chavez dint even got knock down in his prime.prime in talking about 17 to 30 years old.chavez earn a title fight the long hard way nobody knew who he was.not like his son everybody knows hes the legends son.chavez number 1 latin fighter period.

  • chavez was great but in my opinion da best mexican fighter was salvador sanchez!!! he lived a short life!! but he acomplished a lot and he was only 23 yrs old!!! if you have a chance look at salvador sanchez fights!!! sanchez was mexicos greatest fighter!!! that is roy jones jr favorite fighter!

  • @skkinnyLordlife How can Chava Sanchez be better than Chaves if his life was short lived???makes no sense little homie, numbers don't lie,sal coulda been greater if his life wasn't taken so soon..

  • @skkinnyLordlife I 100% argree! and another thing to think about is: had he not died; Sal would of most certainly of faced his fellow countryman Chavez at 130, where Julio debuted. It would of only been a 4lbs gain for Sanchez; and he most definitely would of put on clinic on Chavez.

  • yep but chavez first 40 fight was against c class fighter and so chavez jr

  • pobably, but no one gave him a chance to fight somebody .

  • Comment removed

  • and italy???? nothing

  • What about Ruben Olivares? that guy was bad ass... and I rate Chavez as #3 of the p4p all time greats right behind Ali and Robinson... This guy had 13 succesful title defenses, held the p4p crown longer than anyone and still holds the record for most fan attendance. he sold out the Azteca Stadium in Mexico city...

  • Sanchez had lost in his opponents hometown.. he was never KOd!

His fight with Azuma Nelson was the best Mexican/African fight in history!

  • For all the haters saying duran wasnt mexican just need to shut up. Panama should be thankfull that Duran had the ferocious mexican blood running through his veins. What if durans father was Panamanian and he didnt turn out to be the fighter he was? Some sort of twist of fate? Just be thankful Panama and stop the hatin. We could share him.

  • Yo suck my Panamanian dick mother fucka panama right now is number two in world champions per capita list slightly behind puerto rico fuck you know about the stats. Next time u make u make a hypathetical "what if" say this instead what if panama a small ass country of only 3 million people had over 100 million u fuckin ignore anus. Its quality over quantity

  • dont be mad TWO panamanians COULDNT make Roberto Duran. "Ignore anus", what a dumb piece of shit

  • yhea what if,,,,but it dosnt.......have 100 million ppl,,,im sure that if panama had 100million ppl there would be more things to do than just boxing,,,,just like puerto rico,,alot of them tell me...."well if puerto rico had 100 million ppl we would have like a million champion",well if that is all you guys did, box, you would have like millions and millions of boxing gyms all over your countrie, come on think, there is not 100million boxers in Mexico, hell a good % of that dosnt even like boxing

  • buddhaphy the shawshank redemption

  • sanchez was great but he did have a loss and a Short career. Chavez went undefeated for over 80 fights. That is impressive. He never ducked anybody and was ready to give Taylor the rematch right after the fight. Great Great fighters seem to stumble along the way. Chavez was undefeated in his prime and was like a demigod in mexico. How hard would it be to focus on boxing once you get that big

  • sidenote* Chavez did lose early in his career. He was disqualified in mexico, but they had the L taken away from his record.

  • buddhahy thats god damn right

  • the smiley face of sugar ray leonard, lol

  • buddhaphy,im 39 years of age,look after youself

  • For those that say that Roberto Duran isn't mexican check his bio right here in utube. His dad was a mexican sailor that left them for a women. I think that is the reason why he doesn't consider himself mexican. His dad was basically never there. Nonetheless he's half mexican just the same way obama is half white.

  • duran hands of stone

  • i watched and my brother did,the meldrick taylor v chavez fight, richard steel

  • big lats,like me,anyway i reckon barrera,because of that barrear v moralez first fight

  • hey buddhaphy i got a good question wat do u think of Kell Brooks he is climbing the welterweight rankings quick could he last vs sum top welterweights

  • Salvador Sanchez was the best Mexican boxer ever. His record at such a young age was incredible. Chavez fought bums just like his son for a long time before he actually stepped up to fight world champions. Now Duran the reason why he was so great was because he had that Mexican warrior blood in him weather he likes it or not. it is what it is.

  • i got duran over chavez that ray leonard win does it for me. but i def rank chavez a great fighter.good vid. peace

  • yo budda this is some hard question i wude go with chavez 2 because he went undeafeted 4 a long time and beat almost every1 in his division but robert duran is good 2 freddie roach said that he thinks duran wude destroy manny if they had fought so how u feel if chavez and duran fought who u got on that buddhaphy

  • at italianopelicano88 them enanitos wude kicked ur sorry ass hater

  • Sal Sanchez

    Fists of Elegance

  • You are basically recycling the same argument over and over-- that Chavez has a better record, which I've already pointed out has everything to do with level of opposition.

Oh, and lol at Camacho being "prime" when he fought Chavez. Rosario had long ago taken that away from Hector, and if you weren't such a fan of Chavez you would know that.

  • mexican only enanitos litle boys

  • And one last thing, Pernel Whitaker, who handled Chavez with ease and was ROBBED, said that Roberto Duran "sent chills through his body." That should tell you something about the distance between the two.

  • Another thing, Duran isn't Mexican. Yes, I know his father was Mexican, but an exert from his induction speech should clear this up. Duran speaks about the pride of being inducted: "I am very proud today, not only for me, but for my country of Panama-- the country where I was born, where I lived, and where I will die."

  • Roberto Duran was better than Chavez, and I don't even think an argument exists for Chavez. Duran was better on the outside, better on the inside, better defensively, better feints, better pressure, better competition, better wins. Did I mention that Duran was better?

  • then y did he loose so much and have less knockouts? you cant go 86-0 and not be the best at ur time...it just makes no since...period makes not since....ppl remember duran for his losses to ppl not his wins...except for his one reconized win over lenard...thats it...julio cesar chavez vs hector el macho camacho ring a bell...yea dont get it twisted....duran good...great also...but no chavez

  • He lost more and had less KOs because HE FOUGHT BETTER COMPETITION AND DID SO ABOVE HIS BEST WEIGHT. I don't know how to say it any clearer.

I mean, do you see Chavez beating Hagler at 160lbs?

If undefeated records are what count, than Sven Ottke is a better fighter than Chavez. But we all know he wasn't.

  • dood ....duran didnt beat hagler....hagler won by decision....soooo how can you count his loss as any thing but a fucking loss?? he lost....i dont know what more to say....if u loose then how can you b considered the best..?
