@Farcallo Just because something's old doesn't mean it's not good. Do you think musicians only learned how to make good music in the past 20 years or so?
Es para mí otro gran descubrimiento entre la vasta obra de Messiaen. Magnífica interpretación, realzada por el instrumento de "Ondas Martenot", que tan bellamente expresa las emociones más espirituales.
Whoa! Thanks for the correction (and sorry for my poor inglish), you know, i really don´t know the look of a 30´s Martenot! If you write "Messiaen oraison" on google...just take the first option! xDDD. So, i discover the song from a book about electronic music; "Techno rebelde" (Aryel kyrou). I don´t know if exist a inglish version, but highly recommended!!!
A fine performance of a truly beautiful piece of music. Thanks for posting it. It is perhaps important to point out, however, that the instrument in the photo is not the same type of instrument that the piece is being played on, nor is it the instrument for which the composition was written. The photo (taken in 1928) shows one of Maurice Martenots first "jeu a distance" prototypes for what eventually became the keyboard/ribbon pitch control instrument we know today as the ondes martenot.

@copperleaves Hi, I thought this piece was written for an ensemble of ondes martenots. Can you please elaborate? Thanks.
