unfortunatly..we are the single most destructive species on this planet and i highly doubt that will change i personally never plan on reproducing..there are enough humans on this poor planet, i dont drive a car...i ride a bike or walk where i need to go..but..as i said..most human beings wont go to such extremes to help the planet..they enjoy the comforts of their lives too much.
The journal Astrobiology, suggests an upper limit for the probability of each step occurring is 10 per cent or less, so the chances of intelligent life emerging is low -- less than 0.01 per cent over four billion years. the earth is a miracle
we're definitely DOOOOOOMED, jason. i wouldnt say the PLANET is doomed-sorry, DOOOOOOOMED, but us, and as many other species as we can take out along the way, but the way we're going, its simply MASS SUICIDE. if its not ALREADY too late to turn things around(as some scientists believe), it soon will be. and i dont see people taking the situation seriously enough at all. pathetic, selfish mo-fos are humans
If we found another earth, if it was givin to us, we would do the exact same thing to it. People arent stopping, we continue to destroy and use use use and rape earth at an increasing rate. More and more everyday I cant believe what we are doing and most dont see it or dont even care, mock it even. I would love to think humans will start caring and change, but it is not happening.
@reptile411 its not too late, our planet is a miracle in the universe. but were going to have to have some real shocks and scary weather to change humans on earth. not to mention the future is leading to massive food shortage, sad.
@gainer2420 GOING to have to have???? what do you call what has been happening increasingly over the past few decades??? if it isnt too late now, it will VERY soon be. the planet is a miracle, sure(i don't know about in the UNIVERSE, there are others with life, surely), and the PLANET is not doomed, but we certainly are, and the many other species that we have and have yet to erradicate with our greed.

The problem as I see it is that the vast majority of people on this planet have very little or no regard for wildlife or the environment. many do but there are a lot of people who I reckon just don't care.
I wish that the U.S would get way more limits on the things that they have. I mean China has a way bigger population and they barely consume a large amount of the world's resources but America on the other hand uses the majority of the worlds resources with blatant disregard to the welfare of the rest of the planet.
I think there's a good chance the we humans will be the first species to actually be responsible for our own extinction and the extinction of many other species. We're to smart for our own good. Unless we learn to direct our intelligence toward more correct avenues we just might rape the earth of all of it recourses. After we're gone over time mother earth will heal her self up and make way for new species.... Kinda depressing, but still a possibility.
@1980norcal But what if we are taken out by our own robots and because they were programed by us they continue raping the earth after we are gone? LOL Ok we are going off the deep end now lol.
@1980norcal a POSSIBILITY??? more like an INEVITABILITY. we're ALREADY about !) times PAST the planets capacity limit for population. goddamn frikking people. the sooner we're gone the better.
i have been an animals lover all of my life and i put my blood and sweat into these animals but most people couldnt give a shit! it really pisses me off! there are only 3 people in my family who are true animal lovers and thats me, my uncle, and my aunt especially when it comes to the reptiles. SAVE THE WORLD DRIVE A GOD DAMN HYBRID! lol
@idkwht2name The sad part is most consumers who would drive one cant because they cant afford to buy one. I know because I am one of them, Equally as sad is about half the "Animal lovers" out there are the same people that couldn't "give a shit" they just love animals because its convenient for their reputation.
I gotta say...humans won't survive 300 more years....lol. I prefer the animals to survive....:( they're helpless when we're around. Hmm well in order to change the future, you're gonna need some bans, lots of money, and less humans! :) Nice informing video!
@nocturnallyinsane What kind of bans do you have in mind? Less humans will never happen I am sure and I disagree with lots of money. Powerful things can happen with just a voice.
No, I don't think we're doomed. I think we can raise enough awareness to make a difference in what we do to harm the planet that it will cause people to make changes in their daily lives. BUT, I don't think those changes will be enough to make a difference. Instead, I think the earth's natural tendency to achieve balance will be the reason we will make it through all this. Also, I think zoos will play a major role in preserving most critically endangered species.
I'd like to think that it's not too late to save our planet, however, I'm afraid it will take something drastic to get enough people on board. Sadly, we've become a disposabe society and many people never even think about what effects their actions have on the planet.
@SnakeGoddessExotics I agree. Who knows what it will take but we are going nowhere fast right now. Conservation efforts are happening more often than ever but it still is just not keeping up with the damage we are doing.
As for the question of the day, We can try to raise awareness of this, but who is going to listen? To a suprisingly large number of people, animals don't matter. I've been saying for years that there are too many people in the world. And more and more people are having larger families. They don't realize those kids are going to grow and take over land that once belonged only to animals. Before we know it, there won't be any wildlife anywhere except in reserves and sanctuaries. It's sad!
@hongkongluna I did one, the idea was not so hot with the community. I have yet to give up on the idea but just trying to find a way to rework it a little bit, thanks for watching.
