I use biodiesel in my 1986 300SDL without any modification & car runs fine, ofcourse I live in warm climate of Arizona not in Minnesota.

That engine sounds amazing compared to what I've heard. I myself am currently looking to get a 300td to try the veggie experience, as well as get ahold of gem.
