How the heck do you counter mass void rays? I really don't know... I'm not talking about some one moment win like mothership vortex + splash/nuke, I want to know the unit counter. Thors might splash, but micro and time puts voids in favor, even if you have 50 SCVs repairing. Corruptors and vikings will get obliviated (at least I'm pretty sure). ????????

husky i dont think you realized when socke vortexed, he was trying to put his archons into the vortex so when the vortex ended, the splash damage would instakill his army. However kiwi blocked the ramp with enough zealots. thats why he said smart

Carriers are SO pumped in the bronze, silver, and gold leagues.... Mass carriers or mass void rays, once they get to that critical mass, there's no stopping them.

It is considered exponential overall.

Yes, the actual statistical growth of attack power is linear, but it's overall damage in a battle of armies becomes exponential because of multiple hits + less enemies = less hits taken. It's a non-mathematical exponential increase, if that makes sense :)

How is the attack upgrade exponential for colossi?

It does 23 damage per beam. After 1 upgrade it is 26, then 29, then 32. For both beams, it is 46, 52, 58, then 64. The first difference between these values are all 6, which implies it is a linear increase, not exponential.

you know starcraft 2 is so much easier than starcraft. Like in the beginning you don't have to put your workers at each mineral, in sc2 you just drag and click. Husky, you missed this, but when Socke deployed the Vortex, he was trying to get his Archons up the ramp, for the splash attack. However, Kiwi warped a bunch of zealots ON the ramp to block the Archons from getting up there, while the Cannons did some damage to the Archons.

@colahayun90 Nope, it's as Default said, he warped in Zealots to block the ramp so that the Archons couldn't hop into the Vortex as well. If you've never seen what 4-5 archons can do to a group of units that can clump up right on top of each other (such as void rays), you should try it out some time - it's pretty hax. :)

Good game, slow at the middle but the start and finish was good.

And Carriers are bad, super bad.

One point of armour takes away 16 damage from each carrier attack wave,

a Guardian Shield takes away 32 damage / 3 sec / 1 carrier.

Maybe if you have like 2 carriers in your army they will mess with the AI targeting system and help you in that way but Corruptor/Vikings will rape you so it will only work on Toss.

@phoneheha Actually, it was for Kiwi running his entire army into the Vortex. The Zealots blocking the ramp was just adding on to it. The real idea of Vortex is to split your opponent's army in half, vortexing half their army and killing the unvortexed half. Vortex doesn't do anything bad to your army other than make them invulnerable and unable to attack. Vortex needs to be remade to either only absorb the initially affected units or to deal DPS to all enemy units caught in the vortex.
